Root Please help me root

Ive been trying to root my phone for the past two dayz... Ive flashed my phone back to original.. installed the windows driver...set my phone to debugging and when i start the UNREVOKED... then plug in my phone nothing happens...

Ive read lots of threads and followed close direction but i have to be doing something wrong because everyone says its so easy....

can someone please send me a link or help me hopefully guide me the right way....

Follow this guide for driver install and use the linked driver:
public:windows_hboot_driver_install [RootWiki]

If you already have used that guide/driver, check these items:

1.) Do you have HTC Sync installed on your PC? If so, delete it, then retry.
2.) Do you have antivirus installed, Norton in particular? Could be interfering and have definitely seen instances with Norton.
3.) Per the posted guide, are you first seeing the Android 1.0 and then later seeing the Android Bootloader Interface as in the pics?
4.) What version of Windows? If newer version and the option exists, right click on intall package when loading and "run as administrator".
5.) Are you getting any fail messages. If so post them and/or provide more detail about how far you are making it in the process.

im trying to install on work comp...we have avast here.... ill try to install at home and give more feedback...

I just had to uninstall htc sync on the comp and it worked like a charm...
