Root Please help me!

I am trying to unlock the bootloader, but having a problem with the command prompt. I followed the instructions to a T, but when I put in "fastboot oem get_identifier_token", all I get is a <waiting for device>

Any thoughts?

check out the sticky rooting guide at the top of the page,if you havent allready.

your issue is posibly a driver prollem(install the ones in the sticky)

or
you have forgotten to enable usb debugging. sometimes you may have to select disk drive,then charge only again after enabling usb debugging.

or
(not as likely) you have a bad charger port,usb port,or usb cable.

if all else fails,try different ports on the pc,different cables,and give the phone and pc a reboot.

Thanks for the help! Unlocked, rooted and fixing to ROM.....after proper backup of course
