Ok i have linux running on my laptop. But now my phone battery is to low to flash and i dont think its charging anymore. Now what do i do?

I plugged my phone in to the wall charger but it's still saying the battery is to low, I don't think its charging at all.

if your phone never booted to the OS it will not flash
you need to get to a friend who has a DX or go to your local verizon store to charge it, if it doesnt have enough charge you think. to flash then dont try, just know it takes about 10 mins to be completely done flashing, so if you think you have at least 30% battery go ahead, but you need to be fast, and i do mean fast, like as soon as its done, you need to be quick about getting it done, if it dies after the sbf, that is ok, at least you can take it get it charged boot to the stock recovery, wipe data and cache and your fine, if it dies during the flashing process you could have some trouble.

Ok i used an old charger and cut it up to charge my battery. Tried the linux cd it booted up ran started the download but stopped and said it failed as well. OMG WHAT DID I DO IM SCRWED NOW

You're probably not getting good connection on your battery with the spliced up USB cable.

Don't panic. Get the battery chared at a VZW store, or from a friend if possible.

You can also buy a wall charger for the battery for around $6, just google it.

Or, make certain that spliced up cable is making good contact with the battery. I'm not sure if you realize it, but the battery must be in the phone when using the spliced up cable trick.......just be very careful when doing it this way.

Well I think the phone is a brick now. I charged the battery for about 40 mins the bootloader said it was good to go no low battery. so I tried running the linux cd and it failed again. the phone screen says bootloader 30.04 code corrupt battery ok to program transfer mode usb. its not showing up anymore on rsd lite either an this sucks now I'll have to find a way to get a new phone without spending 400 dollars on one.

Have you tried it again? Code Corrupt means something went wrong during the last SBF. I always use the Linux boot disc as I always have problems with RSDLite and its drivers. It would give me the code corrupt error, since RSD would never complete successfully. Make sure you're in the bootloader (sounds like that's not a problem at this point) before you start the SBF process in Linux. Try again is all I can recommend.

Sounds like there's still hope since you are still able to get into bootloader mode.

Try the linux cd as SaurusX mentioned.

It's not that I can get into bootloader it's stuck there. And now the Linux cd I made doesn't seem to be working either it says its failing to load if someone could walk me tho this it would be great, I really don't have the money to go and buy a phone right now thanks.
