Root Please Help stuck on Cyanogen mod 7 screen at start up

Please help with trying to figure out why i tried to instal the cyanogen 7 mod and now its stuck on the startup screen with or without the sd card.Can I salvage it and how please Thanks.
 
btw before being asked i used the rom loader program i did the format clean thing chose the zip file for cyn 7 it did all of its stuff then when loading with loop a cple of times stop start again then stop completely. Please help
 
You are going to have to be specific as to what you have done so far. Use complete sentences so we can understand what you have done up to this point.
 
I rooted my phone using the method on here for no computer rooting. It worked fine. then using a free program for roms i tried to use the cm7. i dld the cm7 zip using my phone. then using the rom installer program from android market i installed it it did the wipe clean thing first then rebooted. now everytime it starts it gets stuck on the cm7 screen. I think my problem might be i forgot to use androidzip to unzip the cm7 iso, instead i just clicked on the zip file to be installed. the actual screen says cyanogen 7 with the skateboarding android. it will circle a few times then sztop all together and freeze on the screen. Is there a way i can take out my sdcard hook it straight to the computer, and extract the cm7 iso from the zip file and tell it to use that to start instead of the winzip file i must have used.
 
ok nevermind i was able to get into the start up and restored it back to original phone minus the cm7 ill try to do it correctly now lol
 
i rooted my optimus v and went to get the rom cyanogenmod 7 and it rebooted and stays at the boot screen froze and when i go to hard reset my phone it just goes to a black screen

What do you mean you hard reset your phone, please be specific, did you do a factory reset under the privacy settings when your phone was booted up?
 
i tried to factory reset it but all it did was go to a black screen and when i take the battery out it goes right back to the cyanogenmod 7 screen and freezes

Was your stock 2.2.1 or 2.2.2? They have different screens and different drivers for each. Not all ROMs have both sets of drivers. And as Jerry said, read the stickies.
