I am unable to restore rom for flash any other roms. im stuck in recovery and have been trying to solve this problem for 5 days now. ive looked everywhere for help. when i flash velocity it is successful. i then reboot. i get to the verizon logo and the notification light flashes blue and resets the process. pretty sure my phone is bricked but i really want it back.

i ran into this problem when i flashed rom using clock work. it didnt work so i restored it and it restored fine however the touch screen didnt work. i changed recovery's

no longer using clockwork instead using
Build : RA-aloha-v2.2.1_getitnowmarketing

i am unable to restore clockwork

please any help at all would be appreciated.

Are you wiping everything before you flash/restore? Make sure if you are on 2.2 your using a 2.2 rom and same if youre on 2.1
 
You cannot restore a clockwork backup with amon ra. You cannot flash Velocity with clockwork either. Now that you have amon ra, flash Velocity and it should work fine. Remember to wipe everything

Correction unless they changed it you CAN flash velocity with clockwork......... other than that wipe all data like king said and flash with amon you should be good if doesnt work rewipe and flash again.... it took me 5x plus half a pack of cigs to get velocity flashed once...... but you can not flash clockwork recoveries with amon..... im not sure how i think its lg updater you can reflash the default rom to the phone.....
 
ive tried wiping everything and flashing at least 40 times i had backups from clockwork and the other recovery mode. ive tried eveything you guys have mentioned. i think its something deeper than that. i know its not something im forgetting to do ive watched a ton of videos and read a dozen of how to's on fourms. something is messed up on the phone itself. i also tried using lg updater. it wouldnt find my phone because i couldnt get it out of recovery mode i think
 
Also do you have fastboot? When the phone is bootlooping a pc with adb can issue commands, you can get into fastboot and try flashing velocity like that. Would need to dl the winlite.zip (or something similar) from the 2.2.1 root guide posted in the all things root forum. If that doesnt work try the LGNPST guide in the all things root section. But before doing that ide check the sd as dautley suggested.
 
ive tried two diffrent sd cards. wiped one and just put the rom in it no luck.

yes i have fastboot but was never able to get it working. but i think thats all me ive not read much into fastboot yet

There a link to the guide. Below the long guide there is a FroyoLiteWin.zip and instuctions above it. I dont know if that takes care of all the drivers for you if you dont have them on your phone. You could always do the long guide and skip the LGMU downgrade. Pterry much run drivers.bat and adb.bat then installing the fastboot drivers. If that doesnt work id say LGNPST is your best bet but i dont know how if works if you can only get into recovery.
 
Worst comes to worse you can download lg update tools and restore it, it will set your phone back to the way it was b4 & it wont b rooted either i had a problem that I couldn't click on anything & it was stuck on recovery menu
