Root please help !!!

having major problem with my htc evo 4g. i have a 32 gb sandisk sd card and when i went to change roms it fried the sd card.also i cannot connect to my pc using usb cord. will try to give as much info as i can.

hboot 2.18
kernel 2.6.38.8-evolver-acies-ics+
baseband 2.15.00.12.19

can someone please help.... i was/am rooted but says bootloader is locked again. android version 4k_atom azul.appreciate any help at all.

Did you make a nandroid backup before you flashed the new rom?
What rom did you flash?
Just need to be careful that you flash a rom made for the Evo4g.:)
Can you post everything that is listed in your bootloader screen?

moved you to the rooting section.

as long as you have recovery you should be fine. there are fixes for the usb port and the sd card, but we need to see all the info on the bootloader.

and for further assistance try and give as much detail as possible. we need to know things like:
1.what recovery you have?
2. what rom you were trying to flash?
3.what did you wipe before flashing?
4.can you get to recovery?
5.did you make a nandroid backup?
6.what do you mean it fried the card?
7.does your phone charge when plugged into usb?

if you can try and answer those and also report back everything you see on the bootloader will help.

that is all the information i have.i flashed the 4k_atom azul rom. i dont think i have recovery anymore as my sd card has no info on it.it was a 32 gb sandick and when i tried reading it on my pc it said it has only 30mb of storage. and if i dont have my phone plugged in and i turn it on it stays in a continous loop.
 
i always do a full wipe when i flash a new rom.and yes my phone charges when plugged in.if i remember correctly i have amon ra recovery. i did make nandroid backup,but cant mount sd card.and i cant get into recovery. but all info on sd card is gone.
 
it says locked? not re-locked?.......that is odd. hmmmmmm since you have access to the bootloader try fastboot. if it comes up as fastboot usb then we can try and unlock it with the HTCdev site then get a custom recovery and go from there.
 
i tried going into recovery and flashing a zip but it says cant mount sd card the old one or the new one.and it puts some files on the new sd card.says qxdm_20120928_213725_1.dm

If I missed some info, I'm sorry, but if the phone cannot mount card, how does it write any files to the sd card? And you see these files via a file explorer on the phone or on computer...which goes back to question, phone does not mount card?:confused:
And just curious as to what .zip you tried to flash...
 
still not reading sd card and still cant use usb connection.i tried to flash superswipe as per the instructions in the manual you sent me. never mind i got it all under control now.thanks again for the help. you give great instructions
 
can you explain more? what happened? did you do the fastboot command for the sd card fix? what was the results? what about the usb fix as well? did you try that? did you get any errors?
