Hi I rooted my phone with ginger break and I think I installed Clockwork recovery a while back but the SD card that was in it got lost and I just got a new one and wanted to Factory reset the phone, so I unrooted the phone and went to Privacy and Reset it and now its bricked. It goes to a silver LG screen at start up and then goes to a black screen, also I can not get into Recovery mode but I can get into E-Mode.

If that doesn't work try this: http://androidforums.com/optimus-v-...ft-bricked-optimus-v-official-fw-kp500-4.html don't worry about where he lined thru everything, all links and info is still good. He assumed the newest tutorial he did (the first link) would be all inclusive (it's not).

If neither work, you got problems that might only be solved by flashing a sprint ROM (this zero's out everything). You will loose Data forever, and have just the phone and WiFi. Hopefully it doesn't come to this.
I have to dig for one more tutorial (it flashe's the sprint firmware in a way that doesn't break data service).
 
It doesn't use a .bin file so data lose shouldn't be an issue. If the KDZ updater didn't work this is next step. The step after the KP500 is the one that requires a Sprint .bin file which will zero everything out.
If that is the last resort, it will be up to the user.

I had to make that decision with my brick of a year, a few months ago. A brick is a brick, is a brick.
So I had to take the data lose, but gained Wifi (and telephone service if i wanted to). Beat staring at a brick.
