Help Please help

Okay, clearly I am new to the whole "thread/forum" thing. I honestly feel like a cat at a K9 club. Anyways, I recently (recently as in within the past 4 hours) switched from the Kyocera Rise to the LG Optimus F3 on a Virgin Mobile plan. I didn't purchase the phone in store, I received it from my brother as an odd gift exchange  Now, let's talk business- The phone, in my opinion, is genuinely forked (catch my drift?) In MY opinion, if something doesn't work the way you want it to..it's useless. WELL, I have done my share of research to find a solution to my undoubtedly annoying circumstance and to no avail. [***PROBLEM STARTS HERE***]The phone's stock (or native, as I've seen it called) email application is..null? Before the Kyocera Rise I owned an iPhone, so I'm new to android, but the lg email icon is an Android guy and rather than having an actual name to the file it says 'com.lge.email'. Now, I may be fluent in French and English, but I surely don't know what the hell that means. Every so often (and I mean VERY often) a notification pops up saying "Unfortunately, com.lge.email has stopped." This also happens when I attempt to open the application. With my hour or so worth of research I found multiple people have fixed their problem by either factory/hard resetting their device or by clearing data and the cache of certain apps. Of course, I tried this, and, of course, it failed. I am at a loss and rather angry  Can someone please help?

you can try finding and disabling com.lge.email through settings>apps>all> com.lge.email and hit disable

Why not just install a email app via play and use that one instead. I deleted that app cause it's like 22mb and I installed gmail

But the unbricking method doesnt work for some people plus if youre on tmobli your gonna have to use the metropcs firmware and thet (from what ive heatd) delets your telephone an d contacts app.
