I will really appreciate it if someone could tell us if it's back at Verizon's hands for the push
 
The odd thing is that even though I'm on broken out my update button is not highlighted to allow me to select it. I've been able to let it go though the "check for updates" motions even though I know it won't actually let me apply the update.
 
Because you're not on a true stock rom and some of the stock apps are removed. If you remove a stock app, an OTA will fail 100% of the time.
 
Can anyone repeat the information that was given before a few times...is the release date for spectrum I C S really this week (third week of August ) 2012 or are we all gonna be picking a new phone screaming at vzw for falsely advertising the updated phone by mid year...that clearly was a total fail guesstimate and someone needs to give a real f*cking answer...its pissed me and I'm sure several other spectrum owners off waiting for an official word from Verizon or LG as to a real guesstimate or real release date for the awesomeness of I C S for Spectrum (VS920)
 
3rd week of August is not an offical release date from VZW or LG. It is leaked information from supposed reliable sources from a forum member. If we do not get the update this week, we DO NOT have any extra reason to be more angry with VZW or LG.
 
Do what I do, when they first said the list of phones that would get ICS, as well as there dates, I just started to pretend the Spectrum wasn't on the list. So now, when and if it does come out, I'll be thrilled. On a serious note, whether Verizon said something or not, us calling them will, well, do no good. Neither customer service nor infrastructure service has a clue what the other's doing. Complaining on LG forums will do no good because as we've already heard, it isn't really their end. They could say, Verizon release this or we're leaving you, but who are they gonna go to? AT&T? They are no better. They told my parents last year a 3G tower was going up right across the road from them in March 2012. Well, there still isn't a tower. Unfortunately, we don't know what exactly is holding up the process, but we'll never be able to do anything about it, so just hang in there. All the V6 ROMs work really well for GB, and while it would be wonderous for ICS, it's a fine working phone by itself, albeit I have indeed gotten bored with it. The point is, if someone does repeat the info, what will you do with it? With corporations, the whole "rise and unite as one pissed off group of people" really doesn't do anything. So kick back, relax, and get f'd in the a by the man. Either way, root for this wonderful CM9 attempt being made!
 
I have rooted my phone but I believe it is coming some Time this we so hopefully we can stop being one very pissed off group and have I c s by Friday on our spectrum phones
 
Any one wanna go to their facebook page and lodge protest? Seems like until you facebook them - no one really moves :)
 
Can anyone please at least release whether the supposed bugs got patched back at LG or if we are still waiting on Big Reds approval and push for the update surely someone can at least give us that information
 
I'm talking about the ota update and I talked to Verizon on the phone about 10 minutes ago and they said yes it is currently pushing ota update over the next few weeks
 
No offense, but we could call 10 minutes later and hear the exact opposite from another agent. Vz rarely has all reps 'in the know'. I'll believe it when people report receiving it.
 
why would verizon release the update without a changelog details. im pretty sure that the ota is NOT out yet. when we see a changelog then its coming days or weeks later thats how verizon works

This just proves your point more. I just called them regarding the ICS update, and the rep whom I spoke to, told me that the system didn't have anything for updates for the spec, so he looked in the ICS file thing(his words not mine) and there he saw the spectrum. No ETA, he just told me it could be 1 months 2 months or even 5 months. but that just shows it could be days, everyone i talk to says a different answer!
