I guess false alarm again... But at least I know where the files will be saved.
 
Seems a lot of people get weird results with the update tool. It's always just showed that I'm up to date since trying while on v6. I actually used it to go to v6 because I never did get the ota for it

Edit: V6 again.
 
From what I heard, the LG update tool doesnt support Verizon Phones anymore. You have to use the VZW tool or the OTA. It only supports the older models on verizon. Could be wrong been i got it off the LG site. I'll look for a link
 
Just another bust. I will never buy a phone on specs and a promise that the OS I want will be released SOON. My Xoom is 4.1.2, my wife's Toshiba Thrive is 4.0.3 and our LG Specs are still stuck at 2.3.6. Fudge.

I used the update tool for v6.
 
My experience with the tool supports his statement. The lg tool said I had an update but I started, it said the device wasn't supported. So maybe we can restore but not update with it.

It's my understanding that the update is suppose to start pushing later today. But I still woke up at 6am, grabbed my phone and checked for it. :)

I woke up at 10 been checking every 10 minutes for the past 2 hours nothing yet from the settings menu... havent tried the updater program yet today
 
So I just recieved a 20MB update after checking for updates. It keeps failing to install though? Radio firmware and bootloader? Where do I check to see what it downloaded? Reason code 410

Mine Keeps trying to go through the CWM... and asks to "install untrusted zip" and then fails

I'm not at home so I can't uninstall the cwm at the moment, hopefully others are having a better time with this

Use the software upgrade assistant, it worked for me.

Oh yeah, not at home. Should have read the whole thing first.....sorry.
