Help plz help..confused with memory card

I bought a 16gb memory card for my samsung galaxy s 2 so i can save all the music i download from my phone straight to the memory card but everything i download is being saved to the phone memory. anybody know how to fix this? any help appreciated, thanks.

The solution depends on how you are downloading, direct to the phone via browser or to a computer and then transferring via USB.

If via the phone's default browser, there's an option in the app settings (menu/more...) to set default download location.

If using a USB connection to a computer, the internal "SD storage" and the external card are mounted as two separate removable drives.
