This is a poll to reflect the call quality of the Evo3d. You should not vote until you feel comfortable that you have evaluated the call quality (i.e, no need to rush with an answer).

This includes both reception (what you hear) and sending (what the other party hears).

Be honest!

My EVO 3D has better call quality and much higher volume than my EVO 4G had.

It is very clear.

Center of DFW metroplex.

I can't compare to the EVO 4G, but it seems as good or better than my Samsung Moment. The Moment would range all over the place from no bars to 4 sitting on my desk, the EVO 3D seems fairly consistent at 2 bars, occasionally dropped to 1. I called my sister on 1 bar and thought I could live with that, especially since I've always had garbled comms to her iPhone3G.

Same here, call quality is on par with my evo 4g. I can't say the same for the speakerphone though, the speakerphone on the original evo is definitely better.

In Oklahoma, my call quality is fine both for me and the people I've talked to.

Not an improvement, just a continuation of the good call quality on my 4G.

Phone call quality is inconsistent, and hollow sounding. I'm not thrilled, and may be unacceptable to me. I am trying to like the phone.

My bluetooth headset works fine, and the quality is improved to satisfactory. Speakerphone is below expectation, my counterparty had trouble hearing me.

*Update 8/21, Great Now* The phone quality is perfect for me now. Not sure if it's the Sprint Network, or software updates, but I am completely satisfied with call quality at this point with or without my bluetooth headset. Love it. For speed and usefulness of features, this is the best tool yet for my business. The camera is fun, too.

I will say like I have said on another thread.....the earpiece speaker is about as loud...maybe not even as loud(as 4G).....BUT..... ear placement is not as big of a deal. On the 4G it seemed you had to have your ear in exactly the right place in order to hear the call. That is not the case on this phone...it seems to have a better dynamic range(if that is the proper term). I was raised on rock and roll and guns and airplanes!!!! I don't hear well. So this is a big issue for me. ANd while the speaker may not be as loud as the 4G, I do think it is better because you don't have to have your ear in exactly the right place....

I always used speakerphone on my EVO 4G. Holding a phone to your ear is so early 2000....lol. I haven't made any calls yet. Need to call someone. But I'm still using my EVO 4G and I showed the sale rep a cool wallpaper I downloaded in the Sprint Store on my 3VO. She was like wooow.

So I had to make a call out to activate my phone (I switched from VZW). So I decided to call Mom to check in and everything. I asked her after how I sounded on this new phone and she said "better than your last one, I can actually hear you". I came from a Droid X.

I don't know if it is "the best ever," but it is as good if not better than the EVO 4G. I have made several calls today and no drops, excellent reception. I can hear the person I called and they can hear me. Very pleasantly surprised. The reviewers had me nervous about this.

I was very concerned about this after reading a couple of the reviews that cited poor call quality. Received a call from my buddy and immediately he asked if something was different. He didn't know I had the new phone yet and claimed that I was coming through loud and very clear. Unless I'm just super stoked to finally have this phone, his call to me did seem noticeably louder and clear compared to the EVO4G. Also, has anyone noticed the noise-cancellation yet?

Btw, in the Detroit area if we're tracking locations.

Oh, I forgot to put a location! I'm in Nashville, TN. Excellent call quality, reception, etc. Again, don't know if I could classify it as "best ever" but I am very much satisfied and the people I talk to can hear me plainly as well.

Call quality is better than the EVO 4G and better than my Thunderbolt on Verizon in my home. The 4G data is considerably faster as well. Was previously disappointed with the data speed on my EVO 4G. Especially when compared with my Thunderbolt on lte. But I've been testing the speed while running errands this morning and noon all around and the data is faster - happy with that. Haven't had much time to test camera...yet.

Noise cancellation is definitely superior. I too was very hesitant after reading about poor call quality reports. I'm borderline OCD on the matter, lol. But I'm pleasantly surprised on the quality.
