- your network, I'm on Telstra in Australia.
- if your phone is rooted, nope
- if you had the problem but fixed it, n/a
- any apps that made the problem worse or better, nope. I've used to apps that have to do with 3g specifically, juice defender and APNdroid, i don't use juice defender anymore, but it would take a few secs to get 3g back if the phone went to sleep (to be expected). But no, no real problems with any app.
- if you changed radio version. no idea.
- if you are running 2.2 or 2.1 2.1

Im from Malaysia with carrier: Celcom. I have this weird problem where whenever I am connected to the 3G network, I am unable to surf the net. The browsers (tried several browser) all said that the phone is not connected. Strangely, all apps are connected fine and running well (Gmail, Fring, RSS reader etc). The only exception was Opera Mini 5 Beta, which I am able to surf the net with it until a couple of hours ago, it also gave me the connection error message. Wifi is no problem though. I have validated the APN settings with my carrier and it seems like it is correct.

Any idea? Already updated to the latest firmware but still the same.

There are a few places where I can't seem to pick up a 3G connection, but not many. Mind you, I've only tried it in Belfast, which is a pretty big city...

I'm with 3UK, Debranded Tmobile phone.
I have good connections most of the time.
But in the place i really need it, i get almost no signal at all, connection drops down to G and phone goes to roaming.
It's really annoying as both my Nokia N95 and N97 had fantasic fast connections in this area.
