Root (Port) Behold 2 1.6 ( No Twiz w/ Busybox & Rooted Kernel )

BH! Found a BIG bug. The Gpaps, Phone, Dialer, and other mass FCs that I've gotten since the start of the ntwiz 1.6 rooms seems to ONLY HAPPEN IN VIB! I never use sound because of the classroom/workplace, and today working from home with a mess of phone errors, I turned the volume on

There is a bug where the phone will not sleep after being charged. Solution, reboot phone each time you disconnect your power cable or charge the phone while turned off.

Is this bug fixed in Take5 or in the Galaxy R11? I would like to root my parents phone, but I cannot expect them to know how to reboot after each time they charge their phone.

Thanks and keep up the great work BH_MAN!

I have a Macbook.. Can I still root my Behold 2? If so, are the directions the same?

I have a Macbook Pro. I was able to root using Terminal but had to use just a little bit different instructions for navigating around folders. But pretty much the same. In order to flash, though, you will need Windows and the program called Odin. You can virtualize it and work with it that way.

HELP!!!! i am having some issues with rom from time to time.

when using the dial pad, sometimes it get stuck then say forceclose, it dos it with something else too i forgot tho. is there a fix for this?

I'm having trouble using the terminal.. Would you or anyone else care to provide like, the EXACT coding? lol

Does anyone know how to get picture messages working with the stock android mms.apk instead of the TwMms.apk. It worked on the first 1.6 roms but the rest since it hasn't. I've tried different combinations of APN's since I use the internet2 apn instead of the epc one. I the past copying the default mmsc into the the internet 2 apn and selected internet+mms. Also I've left the default epc APN alone and switched it to only be mms and then added the another apn with internet2 and had it set as internet only. Usually one of those combinations worked but so far no dice. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok. First make sure you download the Android SDK so you have adb. Here is what I do to get into adb:

/Users/(Your_Mac_Username)/(Then the directory of your Android SDK)/tools/adb

For instance I have my Android SDK folder in my home directory. Here is my code:
/Users/omarquinones/android/tools/adb

From there you can follow the other tutorial which assumes that your on Windows. Basically instead of using the cd commands to navigate folders, you just provide the paths to the different folders in your commands...

Hope this makes sense.

Take5 - 23hrs 17min - 27%

Constant texting
A few three minute phone calls
8 apps downloaded from market using wifi
and some 2G (AT&T) web browsing.

GREAT WORK BH_MAN

So I got to the part where it lists the devices attached, but it doesn't show mine. After seeing that, I tried to follow the directions to install my device's drivers, but ran into the same problem with the MacOSX and Windows stuff.

Well Mac OSX doesn't need the drivers... It's kinda preloaded or something... anyway you need to make sure that USB debugging is on on your phone and make sure that mass storage mode is off. I assume that your on Factory 1.5, so you need to go to Settings>Phone settings>USB settings to make sure that the option for Mass Storage Only mode is checked off. Then adb devices should work.

this rom keeps crashing every time i am using the dialpad. it did it on warheads and now it still doing it on take5. i am uninstalling

Really sounds like a Phone issue, than a Rom issue..
Idk though, problem posted I can get the 2 phone's I have to produce...

Starting to think it's App's that messing with the install, also.... Please remember this 1.6 was never Released & was still beta if you will...

Have to take the bad with the good..
