Portable battery

The N4 charges with 1.2A via the normal charger and most other phones use 1A (could be wrong there) so unless it has an output of 1.2A, it won't charge as fast as your handset does off the mains.

Other than that, I doubt it's not compatible, it's just a cable and a power pack. :)

Thanks for the advice guys, i'll try to see how much output this battery bar actually gives.

Since most modern phones are designed to be charged off 5V USB ports, then it's compatible. I don't own a Nexus 4, so i'm unsure on whether you can charge it off a USB port.

Since the power pack obviously runs on batteries, the charge time will increase as the batteries deplete.
From my understanding the nexus 4 will not "charge" on 5v usb as much as just maintain, if your not using it much.
If your heavy using it will still deplete.

Mine will charge up fine on my 5V portable battery. It's charging as AC and will still charge (albeit slower) if I use it.

Not tired playing games or watching movies whilst charging with it though as I suspect that will be a little much. :)

Good to know, I like the idea of this portable charger, but I was talking actual usb from laptop or even computer, I read about someone having problems with battery draining faster then it could charge while connected to laptop and heavy use.

There was a thread with advice and feed back on various external batteries and the like here a couple of months back - might be worth taking a look for that.

Thanks i'll give those a look too, I just really liked the look and size of this new HTC battery so thought I'd bring it up.

I USED THIS WITH MY NEXUS S all the time. cable charging phone in my pocket or rubber banded to the phone watching video on 9 hr plane ride.

actually about 4000 mAh of real life charging $30.
