Root Possible 3D fix for AOSP ROMS

So I'm not sure what to make of this but I installed the 3D switch app from play store. After turning it on I went to youtube and played a 3D video and it worked kinda. It was still 2 videos side by side but it was defintly 3D. Im currently running PA jelleybean rom. I hope this is a step forward to being able to view 3D movies and vids
 
Its not really viewing 3D pics and videos but taking pictures while using the 2 cameras on the back.
 
umm...yeah...that "fix" did nothing. its not 3d if its 2 videos/pictures side by side. im also on paranoid and thats what 3d looks like without the fix. it also looks like that on any pc.

Yeah just tried that and you are right. My bad, got a little excited over nothing. Lol
 
according to the htc docs that i read the modes enabled are STEREOSCOPIC_3D_FORMAT_TOP_BOTTOM, and STEREOSCOPIC_3D_FORMAT_INTERLEAVED in jmz's 3d switcher app. however if he could put a button to turn on the built in sbs(side by side) rendering [STEREOSCOPIC_3D_FORMAT_SIDE_BY_SIDE], then we could hit that button and things would be hard to see to navagate the ui but all sbs videos would play fine. at that point a permanent solution would be intergrating that button into the status bar toggles.

im still learning java so im not 100% certain that its that easy, but from the way it looks it seems that way. I think jmz just didnt put the button in his app because of the ui becoming "unusable" so jmz could you add another button for us so we can try this? and/or could you give a hint as how you implemented what you did so i can research in that direction?.
