Root Possible driver problem with CM6?

Before I flashed CM6 I had Icarus. When i would plug my phone into my Kenwood Car Stereo, it would say reading...then start to play. Now with CM6 I do the same thing and it says reading.... NA DEVICE. Maybe something I can download for this to work right?

TIA!

mines is the same in cm7, so dont think theres a way around it, i may be wrong but i havnt found a solution.

You are absolutely correct. The cm mods fail to autorun the drivers. When you flash cm6 or 7 you wont be able to connect to Mac computers, car USB ports, or any PC you did not plug into before the flash.

Fill out a bug report at prepaidandroid.org please. Thanks for the thread.

its not really a bug. In the stock ROM there is a partition in CD format that contained the drivers and autorun.ini. Its left off to save space is my guess or just not thought about.

Have to remember CM6/7 is more than just for the ascend, its the most popular ROM out ;)

pip n isaac might fix us up tho if request thru a report tho.

and also what i did was pull the drivers off the phone and put them in a folder before i flash any of the roms, that way if i go to another computer i can open up the folder and install the drivers needed to have access to the sd card when i want to copy files by turning on usb mode.

Maybe I can put the drivers back on the phone somehow? I really like the CM6 feel ... but I want to be able to listen to my music too. Maybe I can find a way around this. :) Will make a report also.

I just checked the CM6 zip. In the system folder, there IS a CDROM folder. when opened, there is a zip file with autorun.iso. Maybe if I put the autorun.INI in there?
