Try clearing data from the weather app inside applications.

Does this happen when searching for your location or what?

This is an app problem I suspect, GPS is fine on mine (better than fine, sees more satellites than ever now it also supports Chinese positioning satellites and these actually appear to be visible here in NZ).

I've noticed on previous devices if you're on WiFi it can try to use that network to locate you rather than the GPS.

At my old place Google maps would tell me I was in Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.... I was in Iowa.

When I turned off WiFi it would use GPS and had no problems finding my true location.

TLDR:
Try turning off WiFi if you're connected to one

And don't forget that even if you do turn off wifi, it still might be trying to use wifi to get location info if you checked that option upon set-up. Which I need to play with because I get odd bobbles in Ingress, more so than I got with my Note 2. I've also had the Speedtest app think my closest server was in Wichita instead of one of the three around the KC area where I live.

I just noticed this last night on my HD widget weather setting. I switched from Accu weather to Weather Bug and see if that will help.

Interesting, I just noticed that after reading this. I've tried a few test and it was telling me Wichita was closest to me even though I'm in Milwaukee, WI.

Mine told me a few wrong locations a few times. Turning device off and clearing cache and earring data helped clear that problem up for me.
