Root Possible hard brick

LG motion not Booting with extended battery. after battery totally discharged. to see if it would boot with regular battery. I switched to the regular battery. It booted once looked like it was 100 percent. Like an idiot was curious if extended might boot now put it back. Wouldn't boot then put back original now it won't boot either. Could it be a false positive could both batteries be so discharged the phone won't boot? The phone is rooted I recently did an unbrick.

Think I have to suck it up unfortunately think I'm gonna move my wife to boost and get her a hydra.
Not buying that phone again if a car charger can kill it

Why have you tried a different cable? If you haven't tried it try it, why spend more money when you don't have to spend any at all?

Sorry if I wasn't clear but I tried three cables. I'm bricked all those cables work on the other phones. I have no choice other than trying a different battery at metro and replacing the phone. Doesn't seem like lg tested this phone thoroughly for issues like this. How is the lg Optimus f3? if I'm going to metro it is a consideration.

Dude, if your phone is turning on, it's not hard bricked. The term brick comes from it being physically equated to a brick, just a hard piece of material, completely useless aside from a building block.

Do yourself a favor, try entering "Download Mode" to see if you can access it. If you can, run the unbrick guide again, and reinstall fresh stock firmware. See if your phone boots.

A phone is not hard bricked until no amount of holding the power button will cause the phone to turn on. If you are getting blue screens and whatnot, I don't think it is hard bricked.... On the other hand, sammyz encountered the same type issues and he was bricked, so who knows..

BTW, why the hell would you use a severed cable?????

My wife is not computer literate.
And dude after I turned it off it wouldn't turn on again. I said I booted it once with old battery turned it off again and now it will not turn on. No vibration nothing. It appears to be hard bricked. The cheap cable that came with the phone split by itself. But it worked with all my other micro usb cables as well when it used to work . It looks hard bricked. LG did a horrible job of testing this phone. If it wasnt hard bricked another micro usb cable would make it turn on.

I don't necessarily agree with LG failing to test the phone... This isn't like a horrible widespread phone destroying issue. Of the thousands and thousands of Motion's they sold, maybe less than 1% of people have had this problem. You said that you got it to turn on once, but then you commented you had the "blue screen" problem as well.. So when did you have the blue screen? The one time it turned on? That would have been really good info to include in the OP. If not the one time it booted, then that would indicate it booted more than once... see where I'm going with this? see what I did there?

My wife witnessed it not me. I got it to boot once when I removed the extended battery and put back original battery . Once I saw it boot I shut it down again to try extended battery again. It wouldn't boot or ever turn on again after that. Not sure there is anything else I didn't try. Different cables batteries hard reset combo download mode. Nothing works seems bricked.

Just go to the lg site get an ra # and send it to them to fix it. It will only cost you shipping. If you use usps if it fits it ships its only like $6
They will put a new mobo in it and send it back. And even if you dont turn service on for it again yiu can still use it for games or testing roms etc... Or use it as a mp3 etc..
