Go to each app under settings. You can have a different notification for email, text and the such. Just be sure to silence the notification for them in the phones settings under sounds.

Hi Arrowslinger. I'm not sure you can do that but I haven't messed around too much with trying either. You might try an app like ZEDGE and see if it does what you need.

It does not seem you can set two. I would love to have one for E-mail and one for texts however I don't think you can do this. I even tried to run Pro SMS messenger and it still does the same alert tone.

Anyone else figure this out?

Tap on your email, go into the settings, notifications then pick whichever sounds you have on your phone. Same the messages, select ringtone. i have different tones for all 3 of my emails and text messages.

I have used the app "Ringo Lite" to set different ringtones for different people.

I have followed the instructions given above to set a ringtone for texts, but for some reason it never worked, until I installed the Ringo Lite app.
