Alot of other little things also, wifi is slow to connect, Bluetooth gets dropped all the time, auto white balance sucks indoors.Triumph can't even manage 2 point multitouch without sticking, Evo has 4 points.

Really? They are selling the MT at $229 (BB website), does that mean I can pay $70 for the upgrade? (without tax)
Or is that the buy back plan thing in BB?

No, the protection plan pays you whatever you paid for the phone; but once you get a different device it "fulfills" the plan. (If you wanted another Triumph, it would still be covered under your original plan.)
I don't know about just asking. I think you have to have probable cause for needing one.... however, you can get whatever you want, wither it be another Triumph or a Evo V 4G.

BTW, I'm dumping my phone. My chargeing port is going out, I am tired of the dust under the damn screen, and the poor GPS, AND the color issue with the camera.

O that's sounds great. I bought the MT for full price at $299, so it should be paying me back for $299 and I can buy the evo v for $299. Hum sounds like that plan safe my time to find a buyer

My main reason would be the crappy speakers on the Triumph that sound broken ..... i'd also bring up the alog file issue

I don't why the Triumph shipped with 2.2 in the first place wasn't Gingerbread out before the Triumph hit store shelves? I did like the fact it was vanilla froyo bone stock except for VM bloatware they added, I believe the only app I used that was preinstalled was poynt. I've only had to do one factory reset on the phone due to the alog file issue. The Triumph had so much potential to be a great handset but Motorola aka Crapola sat on their rears and abandoned the phone. HTC believes in software updates and fixes as I have looked at their phones even the Wildfire S which had some software fixes. I hope HTC supports the EVO V for at least a year, after the I get the EVO V im sticking with it. Buying phones gets pretty expensive when your after the better phones on VM.

I'm getting the Evo 4G for Boost Mobile too.
Then I'm going to settle in and stop chasing the never ending upgrade rainbow for a while.
It's getting ridiculous how much I've spent on phones.
Just wanted to point out, the GNex has an OMAP 4460, the Evo has a Snapdragon S3. I think this probably gives the edge to the Evo for graphics, but I'm sure they both do pretty well.
Also, the GNex has a much better screen, it is 720p vs qHD, and of course it doesn't have 3D. The 3D's display sounds like it would be worse in direct sunlight than the GNex, though I don't know that for sure.
The GNex also has NFC, gets updates often, has straight-up ICS, and can be used on more than one carrier. The two phones are only $100 apart. While the Evo V 4G is interesting to me too as an upgrade from the Triumph, the GNex is just a bit moreso.

The Sprint Evo 3D has the MSM8660 S3 dual-core Processor, So I (assume) The Evo V will have the same..?

The EVO V 4G will be sporting the same internals as the 3VO. It would be more expensive for HTC to re-manufacturer the EVO V 4G by putting a single core chip on the device, it would have to go through engineering and manufacturing again. Its cheaper to leave the phone alone, upgrade it's software to ICS, and add VM logo on the back. If you go to LG's website and look at the Optimus Elite for Sprint and Virgin Mobile you can see that their internals are the same as far screen, cpu, memory, etc....

i got a project im working on, a vintage moped im restoring from the ground up to like new, i just hope i can sell it by the time evo V is out and pick it up.
I would love to keep my triumph as a ipod device but I may have to sell it and put the money towards the evo v.
whats the going rate? I listed at 250 and getting offers for like 200 or so.

Exactly, So I don't know why people keep saying they think it won't be dual-core... or 3D.
In what regard? I'd have to think it was in some oddball metric, or possibly battery life? The S3 is dual-core, the S2 is single-core. And the S3 comes with the Adreno 220 vs the 205. I think you would find it will score better in every performance-based benchmark there is, all else equal, and probably by a margin of 50-100%.
Mine is basically flawless, and I'd be pretty happy to get $150 for it. You can buy it brand new from Amazon, Best Buy, etc for around $220. If someone offered you $200, take it and run.

Coverage seems to be good in South Florida, I just hope it actually works. 3G is supposed to be fast, but in practice was usually slow as molasses on VM.

Not sure really. I think it might have been battery life.
So if I got the triumph and then took it back for a price adjustment on the 5th I think I can return it within 30 days. If best buy gets the evo on the 31st I should be able to take it back and pay the difference right...I think I'll call. And the release date is the 31st but does anyone know when best buy will get it? And would it be worth it to return my phone and just wait for it too come out? I only have until June 5 to return it and I'm not sure best buy will have it by then.
I don't know, may be you could. However on VM site said retail date will the 10th. Lets hope they are going to sell them earlier
O also, do you know can I use the 2 year warranty plan to do such thing like you planning on? (I know there was someone said last couple post, but want to know does anyone had that experience before)Never mind I think I'll wait for everyone else to try it out and see what problems it had on virgin mobile and how good the 4g really is before I buy it. Plus it will be super cheap around Christmas. And there are good mods for this phone and they will only get better.
