post pics of your whips

I want to play, not to sure how to post pics, I'm just anther honda owner, but I have a 96 4 door honda accord, with jdm f20b full suspension, rhd swap starting next month. 88 crx sitting as a shell with a cage, old track car being redone, 94 del sol si itr swap with I.H.E and tuned on s300 173.8whp, and last a 01 cbr 929rr. I love my honda.

Nice to see a fellow Honda owner. And for images, you just have to put the [ i m g ] and [ / i m g ] tags without the spaces around the link to your picture.

In for pictures of this Accord that's gonna be RHD swapped. lol.

Aston DB9...or a Vanquish! Oh what lovely sound!!

Agreed. I have BMW's for the comfort factor as well. You dont want to be going fast and feel like you are on a roller coaster would you?

I was a tool and hit 129 on the highway once. Honestly, the ride was so insulated, I couldn't believe how slow it looked. Now, for some, that is slow, but when you think 100+ you think of adrenaline rushes and cops and things being a blur. It felt no different than going 70..80..the limit on the highway. No shaking, no feeling the car was getting anemic at such high speeds. It was a great feeling. And while being able to actually feel like I'm going 100 in a car that was not luxurious and "pampering" me, it would get old after a while. Refinement. I love the product of refinement, where I'm going 100, but feel like I'm doing 40.

ahhh so its not a model option. just a couple supercharger options, that makes sense. yea they did inform me of that.

i was thinking it was a model option like the upcoming boss 302. .

for the price and time of buying a new gt(it has to be paid for) and then sending it to shelby to be fitted as a gt350 id just get the gt500 from the beginning and save a few dollars.

options i looked @ mustang gt premium @ $33,500 + shelby gt350 package = $54,000 total.
mustang gt500 @ $49,800

but im not going to get either. i was just bored and wanted to test drive the new mustang. lol

im buying a house atm, a new car is next. just not sure what i want yet. possibly an audi s5.

The Shelby GT350 package is $27,000 without a supercharger.
If you want the Whipple, that adds $7,000.

Money no object, the added options are anotehr $18,000! Here's a photo of a sticker!:eek::eek:

RICERS!:mad::eek:

I would rather spend $70-75k on a BMW M3 with options then drop a new engine into an old car.
I'd say it depends. I've been flirting with the idea of dropping an LS series motor into my RX-7 for some time now, as most cars today are gaining significant weight, and don't really lend to the more spartan attention to detail of older vehicles. Hot-rodding is rather fun, and is great way to learn your car, as well as building exactly what you want, given enough time, patience, and money.

I don't see it as a replacement to a factory supercar, or even a high-performance car, such as the M3 (or an IS F in my case). It simply is what it is (labels don't really mean anything), and represents a project where you get complete say in its direction. At the end of the day, if you enjoy cars, it goes a long way towards actual experience and fulfillment.

I can't wait to buy a 2011 GT with the 5.0.
Yeah, I really like what Ford is doing here. Pushing the envelope like this is going to force other auto makes to follow suit, if/when their moves pay off.

nice. i seen many people drop LS engines in their rx-7's, shit is diesel fast. also seen LS swaps on 240's and 350z's: light car with a powerful engine = a monster. u have the fc or fd?

FD, and yeah, its a relatively common swap. I've been weighing a few options with it (restoring/building), but mostly its competing with my infatuation with a lighter car, such as the Elise, since less weight has equal appeal to me.

Below are mine, and the fiancee's RSX, shot, appropriately, with the Droid.

those are some awesoem cars you got there. i LOVE the FD i was lookign for a clean one here in NYC, but obviously that wasnt gonna happen. that is-F is hot man, fast car for a luxury sedan.

i would DEF consider restoring and building the rx-7. the elise is nice, but that car is very small and i wouldnt mod an elise. put a fortune veilside widebody on that rx-7 and u wont even think about that elise!

Thats awesome, if your car had menacing face, it would be even better!

im not sure what gt350 package that dealer was talking about then.

id get the gt500 over it everyday of the week though.

90 g's gets me two EVO's. one for days i felt like shifting and one for when i didnt. with 15k left over for upgrading the gsr.

yea the demon eye makes the car look so much more aggresive. too bad my current bumper looks so happy lol. the demon eyes on the g37 is pure sickness though. ill try to find a pic when im at home.

Hope you got the cash for that veilside kit.... $10,000 isn't that much. lol.

well, a lot of people who restores old cares appreciates the car a lot, so if i loved my rx-7 and im keeping it forever and ever, i would def get the veilside kit since that would make it a 1 of a kind ( at least here in the USA, japan is another story). withthe VS kit, it can easily pass for a ferrari imo, such an exotic look, just like the nsx.

I appreciate the RX7 a lot. I'm very much into the tuner import game. While the Veilside Fortune kit is very nice, since it's mainstream introduction being featured in the Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift everyone is starting to want one. There are many other ways to mod the body of an RX-7 that, in my opinion, look much better and more original.

why the hell would you want two evos? why not get one evo for taking the kids to school and a sportier looking car for shifting :D

I still dont understand the mentatlity of Tuners...but he, Im more of an exotic guy myself.

90k? Ill get a BMW M5 for that much :D

It's about capability, and performance per dollar.. rather than just saying, oh I can go out and buy this $90k car. It is a hobby. Sort of like building computers and rooting phones. Either you're an enthusiast, or you just settle for what's out there from the factory. Myself, I'd rather build up a 750hp Evo X than just go buy a BMW M5. It is much more fun and you'll spank an M5 in every arena other than personal preference of looks and feel of interior/exterior.

A barely-drivable 750hp Evo? I could build a go-kart and stomp on any "tuned" car. Why don't we see Ricers go do that?

If we're spending $60K, I'd buy a used E46 M3 and a Stage 3 HPF kit and shit on anything that came in my way.

If we're gonna go silly with the HP, 750hp to beat an M5 with 500 but a car length isn't really worth it.

Yeah, you definitely don't get it. The point was.. <insert car here>... not just an Evo. You're way too up tight.

but why would you do that with that car when you can do this with this car.....

nahh, hes not uptight. egotistical, yea.
