My apologies if this has already been addressed, but when I run ddms on my linux box, I just get:
java.io.IOException: device (????????????) request rejected: insufficient permissions for device
at com.android.ddmlib.AdbHelper.setDevice(AdbHelper.java:726)
at com.android.ddmlib.AdbHelper.executeRemoteCommand(AdbHelper.java:363)
...
Any suggestions?

OK, the short answer for Ubuntu 9.10 is:
edit /etc/udev/rules.d/51-android.rules to include this line:
SUBSYSTEM=="usb", SYSFS{idVendor}=="0bb4", SYMLINK+="android_adb" MODE="0666"
restart and things should now work.
thanks

I use PandaHome but my dock bar and most icons come from OpenHome

The four big green and orange icons are a widget that lets you store up to 8 apps to save space on your screen. Touch the widget, select the app, and it launches. You can change the main icon widget that appears on the screen but once you launch it only the original icons are shown. Example of two of the launch widgets:

Because the battery is charging it shows it percentage but normally this widget also shows the hours and minutes remaining. Very handy and comes in two sizes.

This widget is called open search. It replaces the long google bar and saves space. Press the app to get the bar and keyboard (I use SlideIt, very different than a Swype)

But if you press the small icon to the left of the bar it gives you other search options. Here's a screenshot of the default searches but you can get more off the dev's website:

I'm thinking of switching to OpenHome or GDE but I'm fairly happy with Panda so not sure if I'll make the switch yet.

I'm on a rooted BH2... is there a way to make my lock screen look similar to the Droid's? I'm a big fan of that slider. I thought there was an app for it, but I can't seem to find anything.

Thanks!

And my bookmarks screen :)

I use dxtop for the dock too

What theme are you using? I can't get the clear tabs on my dxtop.
Also, where did you get your white notification bar, the only one I've found has a weird box around the clock and the fonts are still white.
