Last nights setup with Metal Chrome Icons and that new clock widget I just got called Analog Box.

I love the clock

Yeah it's cool. Just wish I wasn't so used to digital (although I've set up a Macrodroid profile so when I shake my phone with the screen on it speaks the time so I guess I could use analogue (analog to you Americans lol) for the looks :D )

Canadians, Nicaraguans, Venezuelans are all American ;)

Maybe we should talk about United Statians when we want to narrow down to that country?
True and I usually do refer to the US or North America. I just got lazy. I'm well aware of the geography lol.
Sorry if I offended you brother :thumbsupdroid:
(and is "United 'Stations" an actual term lol)?

No, I just invented that term. But it did occur to me that that might be why US citizens call themselves American - the alternatives are not at all snappy ;)

And yeah, I assumed everyone knew the geography. Though I did once get asked by a student in a bar in Cornell why I referred to the US rather than America, and then I did seriously explain that I wanted to distinguish between the country and the continent. Funny thing is that his objection was that it made me sound European, which I had assumed would have been obvious to anyone who heard my voice.

It's part of total launcher I haven't learned half the things I can do with it yet
I've just downloaded the launcher but, before firing it up, I'd like to know how heavy (or light) it's on battery and RAM. What really catches my attention is the fact it doesn't have a fixed grid to place icons and widgets, like SS, btw. But SS free doesn't allow the user to delete those huge labels on the screens, and I really don't like them.
Given the fact Total launcher does not have an app drawer, I mean, app drawer is a widget, RAM and battery usage might be a little high, imo.
Can you kindly give us some info on the matter? Thanks in advance.

I don't know how to check the ram but according to gsam battery app it uses 1.1% I'm using a note 3 with 2gbs of ram

This launcher is really a gentleman on battery. I'm impressed! Nova is heavier, FCS! RAM is less crucial than battery, at least for me.
Well, it's worth a try. Hope this free version doesn't lack on important features.
Thank you, brother. Have a perfect one!

There's quite a lot in the free version I tend to buy the paid versions of apps I really like to support the developer

You guys are hysterical. At first glance I thought this was an amateur comedy thread. lol. I have total launcher and it is a beast (in a good way) I have the paid version for it and for SS launcher as well and you need a lot of time to learn all the features. SS launcher has a ton of preset themes and the things you can do are mind boggling. Not to brag , but I got 2-$100 Google play gift cards, 1 for Xmas and 1 for my birthday, and spent em each in about 15 mins, so I feel like a share-holder in Google. lol
I've done about all I can with Nova (though I hate to part ways) so I may switch over. 1 example of what you can do in Total launcher is adjust the size of each individual tile on the grid of the home screen , so you can lay it out like a windows phone and make, then save your own themes. The possibilities are endless. Anyway, here's today's setup and 1 from a few days ago. Hope you like them.

@Purerawenergy I've tried to get away from Nova and I just keep coming back. For me it does everything I need and more plus its lighter on resources than other launchers. I'll keep my eyes on some that have been mentioned here. Sure are a lot more choices since the days of BetterHome, ADW and Launcher Pro lol.
The guys who develop my ROM (Blisspop 3.6-5.1 1 bacon) turned me on to LL Launcher and I checked it out. Its by far the nicest launcher I've seen but I would not recommended it to beginners (not saying 'you' are.) Its light and fast and very customizable but its complex and very complicated if you don't know what you're doing. I want to switch over because honestly nova is somewhat limited compared to the others. Just hate leaving something I know so well ya know?

And @Maldito Canalha, you've got mad skills brother. The others users on here are good as well, yours just really stand out.
Thx. I just have more time to kill. xD
The reason why I'm looking for the best launcher, with Nova's stability plus Total's freedom to place icons and Smart's lightness is because I am developing this software myself, but I'm still facing a lot of bugs, and the final product is still far from its release. I've achieved the desirable low battery usage, but there is a persistent lag, although it's fair on RAM.
I have to make a splash in this world before I leave it. This and another app I'm working on will be my best shots, after a long life of mistakes.
Peace, you all.
