going for a slightly Windows Phone 7 look.

Niteowl, I swear, every time I see your posts, the layouts get more and more creative :) Love how you set this one up :) Keep 'em coming!!! lol
Thanks Rose.
The background image did come from something I saw a while ago designed for a desktop. The moment I saw it I knew it had a place on the HD2 screen.

I spent some time having to create new shelf layouts, to fit the positioning
of icons widgets, 7 screens etc which turned the whole exercise into something more complex than it could have been.

I also was thankful I'm not a carpenter :D

Anyway, pleased you appreciate it.
The layout proves very flexible in getting things to fit into their proper place.

Now I need to take a pic of my Golden Retriever to replace the imposter :)
(Although he also currently acts as my Market shortcut which I forgot to add to the original screen!)

Better do it soon before this screen changes :D

Once again it's always nice to get your response (which I might add has been lacking on my previous two attempts :(

Cheers

How so? A device is supposed to be simple to use, his "creativeness" just has icons all over the place making it look mixed up.

You're entitled to your opinion, as are others.
I certainly wouldn't comment about something I didn't like.

Different people have different opnions. That's the great thing about Android, people can do whatever they like with their own phone. You and other members have screen layouts you like and ones you don't like. It's obvious that when you post your homescreens, it's something you're proud of and want to share with the community. Plain and simple, I like it because Niteowl's layouts are artistic and different. Homescreens I like, I will compliment, I don't really see an issue with that.

COMPLETELY understandable, I do realize that everyone has their own opinions on things, but all I'm saying is all of his/her screenshots so far have been nothing but complicated layouts...Each to their own I guess.

@paulmz

That beer on one of the shelves is now definitely yours. Cheers.
I know you of all people really understand the effort that goes into these type of screens. I know this from your WM 7 series and the awesome work you put into helping people with differing dimensions/size of screens so they could also get something similar.

I can understand 'fckinfamous' not liking any of my work, but I can't understand why he chooses to remark negatively about something that is at best very 'subjective'.

Your last point is exactly what I spend so many hours trying to establish, and your statement on this point makes all those hours worthwhile.

Let's put an end to this, otherwise the initial post gets more attention than it deserves.
