Yup I DL'd it already. Just sitting on my sdcard now. I just wanna see a person or two on IRC say its GTG. I can wait....for 10 minutes to flash this....maybe 11Oh boy if there's a Voodoo it's gonna get interestingprolly means I could flash over my current one without disabling too...? Not gonna be the first
lookin' at you saps

1600 voodoo was a no go for me![]()
Froze as soon as I hit the puzzle screen
Yeah Im not sure I buy into that guy. I think he might be jealous and just covering his ace. If you look at the cpu numbers our 1.6 is ahead of their non-1.6 so Im reserving judgment. Also our 1.6 scales completely in line with numbers from 800 and 1200Mhz; theirs did not. Irregardless, this supposed 1.6kernel is as stable for me as Dirrks LV, battery life overall seems to be as good as well because while the 1350mv is higher for the top speed [1.6 or whatever it is] I know beav lowered the 100Mhz voltage and when at rest the phone will use even less juice now. Have no one freezes and most everything seems snappier. Im sticking with it till otherwise circumstances make me changeHoly hell man. I just checked out the thread on xda here. Pretty interesting stuff, we'll have to keep an eye on it as things develop.

Oh okay, I see. I was unaware that there were two different ones, the one that you're using being from irc. Got confused, sorry guys
That's good that he lowered the voltage when at 100mhz to extend the battery while at rest too. I've got to check irc to try these out. So there's a voodoo and a non-voodoo, the voodoo you can just use over dirrk's or did you guys have to disable_lagfix?
I think I see your point and maybe we're talking apples and oranges here but IMO the cpu performance of the so called 1.6kernal is exactly what you'd expect from something 2x800Mhz. Using not just quadrant cpu score, but also set cpu's short and long bench, speed pi, benchmark pi and 0XBencmark. The numbers all point to this kernal performing as a 1.6kernal should perform. The same scaling from 400-800 is present 800-1600.That could be because he's testing one without voodoo and you're testing one with. The quadrant score differences could be attributed to that alone.

Hey saps, was the file name of the Hex kernel "kernel_1031_USCC_test_voodoo.zip"? I have one named this on my hard drive but I can't remember if it was from when I was looking at the Hex kernels or not.

Newer than that everything is 11/5 or more recent: Index of /users/hex/files. Sadly, I was watching a movie on my phone last night and despite the fact that to the best of my knowledge the SF only runs at 400Mhz in "movie mode" it locked up on me after 35 minutes or so. So I dumped it back to Dirrk's LV. I might give HeX a try again, later thoughthat seems like too old to be one of hexs 1066 ones, i dont think he dropped any of them til at least 11/2 or 3![]()

Thats really true. Dirrks 1250LV is the classic example, some can some cant run it. The funny thing about the HeX LV kernels for me is that it wasnt the performance max out tests which do it for me, its the milder stuff where he turned the voltage way day. Literally I believe its just the 400Mhz step does is not getting enough juice with 975mvYeah, once I posted it I realized I hadn't downloaded anything from his site. Thanks for the link, that sucks that it locked up though. It's interesting how kernels interact different with different phones.
