Post your Homescreens

My biggest gripe with all these apps is the inconsistency with which they implement color selection. Some allow hex, some RGB, some sliders, some just a set selection. I wish they'd all allow direct hex or RGB input. Limited palette gets an immediate delete from me, sliders frustrate the hell out of me when I am trying to match colors. The Bob clock is killing me with the sliders right now.

I agree the inconsistency is frustrating, as are the sliders, especially when you are trying to get a specific number and keep overshooting it.

Some few apps have both hex and rgb values displayed, and I've used those to choose a color and then record both, but there are also online converters like Hex-to-RGB Color Converter ... it's a long frustrating process to match all the apps/widgets' colors, for sure.

Wallpaper I found and just changed the X to blue, had some fun with cropping it to get the NEXUS text where i wanted it.

The App Drawer X was posted by another member a few pages back in this thread.
Widgets: Minimalistic Text, Caynax Melody Battery, BobclockD3, Beautiful Widgets Weather and the Icons for the dock are Metro Station Icon Pack.

If you install nova launcher you can do everything without root EXCEPT remove the soft keys, With root you can install LMT pie controls and remove the soft keys and get that glorious full screen going.[/QUOTE

Love the wallpaper but it won't let me download it... Please help thanks

Worse yet are the sliders with NO LISTED VALUES or the annoying color selector of widgets like BobClock where you just click on the color map....no displayed values or alternative inputs.

I shouldn't have opened this thread; its just going to make my wait all the more brutal. It is giving some ideas of what to do once my Nexus does get here though.

You're leaving one fantastic device for one that's even better. If you need any help when you get it, don't hesitate to ask :D

Definitely man. Just couldn't wait any longer and finally made the jump. Like I said...the next couple of days are going to SUCK.

A new one from me, cant stop messing around... After using darker backgrounds to save battery I fancied a more colourful one! Think this ones a keeper for a while.

Thanks :) Pleased with this one, I've removed the calendar now and placed it on the next page full screen.

Would look great with the blue Icons too! How would I go about doing this? :)

if you're using a 3rd party launcher (NOVA, ADW, etc.) you can long press the icons, click edit, and replace the icon with any that you download. here is a link to some ICS blue ones:

[ICONS] Ice Cream Sandwich Style || Holo - xda-developers

i am sure there are others as well.

edit: WHOA, super ninja'd by Patriot. even posted the same link. GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!

Haha great minds think alike? :D

I downloaded nova launcher last night after flipping through this thread for a minute. I liked being able to get rid of the search bar, and maybe the bar near the bottom but that was about it. I uninstalled because the other little changes I didn't like, for example I like being able to keep sliding through the widgets in the app screen. Is anybody using another launcher that doesn't change the overall experience too much?

I also tried my best to make a homescreen similar to WishinItWas. Also used the same icons as he did (MetroStation in Market), and while for the most part it looks great, it doesn't have an icon for every app that I put on my homescreen (games mostly, a few smaller apps that probably won't ever get an icon), and it just makes it all seem so inconsistent, enough to the point where I want to change my whole layout just because some of the icons are not in the icon pack. :\ OCD and Android customization don't mix!

I'll try the Blue ICS themed icons above, though.
