I needed stamps. Like one sheet--which would easily last a year...but once I tried to decide on a design, well, here's the result:

I dare you to guess when I grew up. And you'd better not say the 1870s! :o I got the Transcontinental Railroad stamps because I love trains--not because I remember it being built! :D

Cat or dog? How old is s/he? How healthy?

I've had two diabetic cats. If you're new to this and want to talk, I'm here. :)

This guy. He's 12 now and has a glucose level close to 600 before we caught it. I'm giving him 8 units 2x/day now and his readings are under 300. Thanks, but I'm getting quite good with the syringe.

Aw...he's cute. Yeah, insulin shots are easy-peasy, and quick! What's his target glucose level?

I'm just curious, was he peeing a lot, or losing weight, or was it found at a regular checkup?

I noticed it first when he had an accident in his crate. Then we noticed the drinking and the need to pee much more frequently. We really didn't notice a weight loss until I took him to the vet and they said he was 2 pounds lighter than he was at his regular checkup in December, which, for a 20 lb. dog is 10% of his body weight. :o

They want to get his fasting glucose level under 200. We do blood work twice a month until we can get things stabilized.

And now, back to the thread topic ...

Tempered steel wire for a little project I am working on.

I would have never thought about you buying a pair of shoes @Bearsyzf. Work or dress? ...or just another pair for the collection?
Just out of curiosity, where do you keep your collection? Are the shoes worn on a rotation or are they kept in their box and stored?
I'm in no way making light of your obsession with nice shoes. I had a daughter very much caught up in shoes. With no children and living in a three bedroom home, she kept her collection in their original box with a card that had date of release, purchase date, price, and such all neatly noted on note cards in each box. They all resided in a spare room that had shelving just for her shoes. It looked much like a shoe store but she could tell you every little detail about each box and the shoes within.

Your daughter must be my Twin lol , i pretty much go by the same Technique with a room for my Shoes .... i do wear them when i remember i have them lol but i also have pair that i have never ever worn . I either keep them in their boxes or i put them in my Crepe see through boxes for storage and easy recognition... I also live in a 3 Bedroom House by myself .... so it gives me room :D

I purchased an air compressor today. Between my mow trailer and all of my mowers it seems I am always in need of some air. I bought this same model last year for use at my cabin and home but it seems when I need it, it's at the other place.

Most of the smaller compressors like this one are self lubricating and take no oil. I've not had much luck with that type and purchased this model for it requires oil. Besides, the self lube compressors are super noisy.

These are for when I have to chain up (which is a last resort in my book), they help hold the chains to the tire and are supposed to prevent the chain from slipping off.
