was tempted to get that one as well, but it doesn't have an elastic closure or snap to keep it closed.

When I flip cover back I hate the closures that hang out and get in the way. Reason I chose this one. Mainly for use in my purse and when out and about to keep screen in good shape.
Waiting for Seidio Amethyst Surface case to be available to buy, to use at home in holster.

Well as nice as the official Samsung flip cover is and it nicely matches the original back I just cannot copy with it flapping about and the fact there is no side protection. Also it makes the camera difficult to use imo.
My official Samsung Protective cover arrived today so it was time to swop them over.
It does add bulk and size but more protection.

I agree......I like the official Samsung Protective cover as well. Adds just enough to the phone that it's not too big and will protect your device against scratches and scuffs plus will provide slightly more protection against drops versus using no case at all.

For those that were wondering how the custom skin would work on the Note 2, here's a pic of the custom one I made (ordered 2) for my phones:
Since Skinit and Uniqueskins were lagging, I'm glad I found Zagg's page because this is exactly what I wanted/needed and the "sticky" feeling that Zagg has on their screen protectors, also applies on this skin, so I feel much more secure holding the phone than with the slippery plastic that Samsung uses.

Wow, I don't think I've ever used this word before, but that case is ballin' lol.
Btw Drex, did you see the solution I posted for disabling screen on for notifications? If not its in the battery life thread.

LOL...It's not even a case. It's basically a protector for the back cover. Installs just like a screen protector would (or very similar).

So, I took a chance at one of those ebay sellers selling a navy blue Note 2 flip cover with nfc and I think. They could've gone through all the trouble to create a knockoff Samsung box and packaging, but sure looks close to oem to me and almost what I wanted (slightly lighted than I expected, but still close enough to my favorite color). Wasn't expecting delivery until after Thanksgiving, but this is awesome. Now I'll be swapping back and forth between this (work) and my grey oem cover with Lakers skin (home). I believe I already posted the link earlier if the seller I bought from, for those interested. They have 2 other colors, from what I remember.
Only complaint is it seems shipping might have messed up one of the clips, which doesn't quite clamp in like I'd like.

In regard to the clips are you pressing down tightly?
I saw a YouTube video a while back where the guy said his back cover was popping off but that wasn't the case (truly no pun intended). He hadn't gone around the entire phone
I remember I couldn't wait to leave a comment to that effect but everyone else who saw it gave him an earful so I said nothing.

Yeah, you can tell there's one corner that has a slight gap and teeth won't catch. Everywhere else snaps in perfectly.

Have you actually gotten a case from them for the Note 2? Seems all I can find is for the Note 1 and over at XDA they don't have anything nice to say about Yoobao Leather Cases.
EDIT Just found them on eBay.

I'm waiting for one to arrive for my Note 10.1. I don't have a Note 2 yet, but considering getting one sometime next year. Hopefully, it'll have multi-screen enabled by then. It's quite impressive when I played with it at a Samsung Promo booth that had the featured enabled. Though I think it was an unlocked international version running off the Bell network.
My Note 5.3 and 10.1 can fill the gap for now. I have an Otterbox Commuter for my Note 5.3 and decided on Yoobao because it was the only flip leather case that covered most sides and corners. It was cheap and interesting at the same time.

I am telling you, that isn't it. The clip is shaved down enough that it's not catching...wth do people assume incompetence? I put the phone face down on a table and pressed down just to see if it'll catch and it will push down, but the teeth won't catch...anyways, moving on, I already contacted the seller to see if they'll send another.
