Help Power menu on lockscreen

is anyone able to turn off there phone while the screen is locked?? When i hold my power button down the pwoer menu never comes up...... is ot only the ultra that does that or do i have a defect phone?

I think that's by design not an issue. That way you don't accidently turn your phone off when its in your pocket

Wonder if i can disable that??. This is the first android phone that i have seen with this feature, now i have a complicated unlock pattern and i hate to unlock just to turn it off. Not to mention this idiotic touch screen that screws up my finger movements.
