Root Power off.apk question

I know this is a dumb question but what is the power off.apk for? It may be the answer I'm looking for.
 
Gotcha. I was asking cause I can't shut my screen off at the power off button so I thought that might be the problem but its not

So the screen doesnt shut off when you hit the power button? But the power button works?
 
No. I'm on #2 and decided to try out that revo rom and noticed my screen wouldn't shut off so I went back to #2

You can try wiping cache, dalvik, and system, but leave data. Flash #2, and let us know. If it doesn't work, back up your apps with tibu and wipe data
And what do you mean you can't backup your roms anymore?
 
I did my wipes...even flashed #2 2.4 and nothing has changed. I cant backup my roms with cwm. I get a message:
sd card marker mismatch
Error processing ROM manager script
Please verify that you are performing backup, restore, or rom manager installation from rom manager v4.4.0.0 or higher
/temp/recovery.log was copied to sdcard/cwm/recovery.log
Please open rom manager to report the issue

...and I have no idea what that means and ever since I got that message I haven't been able to backup my roms

Sounds like some files have been moved. You been playing around and moving stuff around? ;)


Just try flashing cwm through ROM manager again and install touch if you didn't already.
 
Yea I really have lol. And this is what happens when you do. Another lesson learned...hopefully ;) but my cwm is weird...when I open RM it says v5.0.2.0 then when I'm in recovery it says v5.0.2.8 but it states my current RM is v6.0.0.1 I think lol.. I know its a 6 but its not touch. If I go thru RM and flash it will it brick my phone? I just know there's been issues with it :D
 
Nahh i did it and i haven't had no problems but u will see a pop up say you have to buy the touch clockworkmod that's all but that version you got works the same you just can't flash from the app nor go into recovery from the app :D:eek:
 
Ok so I reflashed RM just fine but when I went to backup my current rom it gave me the same message as before. I got my power off thing worked out...just did a full wipe but why won't cwm work lol
