Help Power wont turn on..

I put my phone on the charger everynight and when I woke up to use my phone as a flashlight at 4am I noticed It wasnt on. I thought It might of not been on the charger right so I repluged it in and no orange light saying it was getting power. I've taken out the battery and all and It still wont come on. Even changed outlets and I have two chargers and tested them both.. Nothing so Im going to sprint but theyre saying its not a hardwear problem which is BS b/c there is not ANY water damage and I havent dropped it. Does anyone have any advice so i can walk into the store and not have to pay for a problem that I didnt cause. The phone isnt cheap..

Welcome to the forums, eemckinney.

Sorry to see you're having charging issues. It sounds like you may have a broken charging port on the device, if you've attempted to charge with other cables/chargers, and assuming the battery is inserted correctly.

If you hit the sprint store again you might want to see if they have a battery you can put in your phone to see if thats the problem.

Also there is this here broken charge port

Oh yeah and welcome to the forums.

So would that be my falt? The port isnt loose or anything. So it has to be internal.

Especially if you have the warranty, visit the closest Sprint repair center and you'll probably walk out with another phone.

^or a repaired phone.

Just go into a sprint repair center. If you have the insurance it won't be an issue. If you don't plan on paying $35 (or sending it to HTC yourself)
and from what I recall..our Evo's do not work without the battery in them while plugged in like previous phones did.

I dont have insurance on it for the simple fact i get an upgrade every 12 months so i was like ahhh im good. I JUST CUT IT OFF DEC 1st.. how dumb of me (the insurance) But if its a phone problem and not mine then i dont need it its covered. Insurance only covers water damage and dropping it.. (Your falt stuff) but if its a hardware thing then thats on the company for a defulty device. Im just trying to figure out what it could be so when i walk into the store i know the problem.

yes and no. sprint did not make the phone and offers no warranty..only the two types of insurance totaling $7/ month. That insurance covers everything btw but it isn't important you don't have it.

As a courtesy sprint will take care of the issue on HTC's behalf for $35. Otherwise you will need to send the phone to HTC.

Go in..be nice..explain whats wrong. It may be something simple it may not. Let them find the problem...its what they do and is much easier for them with phone in hand vs us guessing

if you are tech savvy...and take it in and they determine it is the usb port, there is a link on here somewhere where you can buy a new one and solder it in yourself
