PowerAmp and album art...

Does anyone else use PowerAmp on the Note 2? The large album art that appears when you play a track is absolutely clear and gorgeous on my Note 1 and also on my GS3...... but on the Note 2, the same album art does not look that clear - and in fact, lines in the art look very jagged. It's not bad, and I may be nit picking but it's not perfect like it is on my Note 1 or GS3.

When I play the tracks on the stock Music Player, the album art looks perfect (albeit a little bit smaller) - so I'm starting to believe that it's an app thing, though I was sure it would have been the same across the board. Was sort of wondering if listens to music on their Note 2 and uses this app.

I would refresh and have the phone re-download the album art.

I have been using my International version the most w/ poweramp and it's not connected, so I haven't downloaded any album art, so I couldn't tell you how different it will get really...but, that's what I'd do. I'm not picky about the album art, as long as it's playing clearly.

Downloaded album art looks fine on my Note 2 in PowerAMP.

Thanks for the responses. Actually, it's not the downloaded art at all. It's the art that is imbedded into the mp3 file that it's reading. I have it set to not download the art since all my tracks have the art in the file. You're right, perhaps I'm being too picky, but it puzzles me since it's very clear on my Note 1 and GS3 and not as clear on this one. It sticks out more to me since the screen is so nice. LOL

My album art is embedded and looks as it should in PowerAmp. So take that to mean you should be able to fix it. Have no idea why it's appearing in low quality.

I use and love poweramp, and have no issues with album art. BUT....

I select my own art for all of my phone mp3s, and pick larger images to display well on this phone. Remember, this is a 720p display. If you put some 100x100 pic up, it's going to look bad. I select (or custom make) album art of much larger resolution. Check out the program Creevity. It will allow you to put in different searches for a given mp3, and allow many choices.

I use iTunes to get my album art. When ripping... I'll have iTunes get the album cover and then embed it by copying and pasting using the "Get Info" field, since retrieving only temporarily adds the art. Other than that I hate iTunes. It's just easier than fumbling around the Web trying to find a high quality image.
