Pre order from radioshack update

Me too, but these thing might not be showing up on multiple banking sites in real time. Radio Shack never took your money, when you place an online order your bank places a temporary 1-3 day hold on the amount ensuring the vendor that you do have the funds available, nothing to do with RS. Also I think that the people who got cancelled probably shouldn't blame the Shack. They were promised delivery on such and such a date with x amount of units. Considering that all orders on VM's site are backordered i think the problem lies there. And instead of keeping your money and awaiting another promised shipment RS did the right thing.

Well the item is on it's way, Perhaps the charge will show up when they receive it in the store I had it sent to? Though maybe you are right, it's already been charged and it's just not reflecting yet on my balance...

This whole experience has been a tad confusing and surreal.
 
Ordered mine the 24 and received my shipping confirmation, it is coming from Forth Worth,TX and I will be picking it up at my local store June 6 or earlier. It seems that almost everyone that pre-ordered has already shipped their order. Can't wait!!!!

It's possible your card got charged but was after business hours and won't show up til Monday. My Evo shipped out and I didn't even know it before I went to bed to retire for the night I checked my email and whoot an email stating it was shipped. Checked the tracking somehow I only paid for standard for shipping but its coming next day being June 2nd got a call today from FedEx stating someone needs to be home for a signature.

They took the money out finally. I guess it just wasn't during business hours. My bank is open until 2PM on Saturdays.

I'm supposed to get mine Monday but since it's shipping from Ft. Worth and I'm only 5-6 hours away there is stipulation I might get mine today.

Dunno, I'm excited but I'm trying not to think about it too much!

finally got my shipping confirmation today. says it was shipped on friday and that i'll have it on monday. i guess i can deal with that.

Yeah. It sucks that the regular Fed Ex ground doesn't deliver on Saturdays. If they are shipping it from Ft. Worth it's sitting right there in a warehouse that's closed and really really close to you... X_X

Mine is sitting in a warehouse right up the street from me. LOL

yeah im just outside of atlanta so yeah not too far away about 10 hrs i guess. when i clicked the tracking number it said it was "in transit." whatever that means. maybe on a freight flight to atlanta lol
 
Ok, so as I posted earlier, Radio Shack was again listing the EVO V online. I called the store that showed as having them in stock. They had 1 left and he held it for 1 hour. I went a picked it up and it was, of course, a sprint branded phone.

I talked to the sales guy for a bit and he looked up the other stores in the area (Chicago metro) and was surprised himself that according to their system, only his store and another store 15 minutes away got 3 units each. No other store in the district got any. The other store had only 1 but it was on hold and I couldnt get it later.

My wife and I are very pleased with this phone as we are both upgrading from the Samsung Intercept, which of course, is like upgrading from a Prius to a Corvette.
 
I was finally charged yesterday after preordering on the first day. Apparently they never charged me the first time, so im sure they are honoring my order finally and are shipping them out now. Have a good weekend everyone.

LMAO. Couldn't be more true. I went from the Intercept to the Triumph and my wife went from the Intercept to the Optimus Slider, also another decent phone.
 
Congrats, finally did it. Considering you're the person to clue me in the first day with the promo code and everything I figured you to be at the front of the line. I hope that you receive by Tuesday. Ah well as they say, better late than never! ;)

I would accept their offer on 2 conditions: (1) a guaranteed Monday ship date and (2) overnight shipping as opposed to 2-day.

If RS is so sorry, why don't they offer these two conditions or else offer some sort of extra discount to show they are truly "sorry."

I don't want support vendors who are not honest about their inventory. For RS to ship 2-day delivery would just speed up delivery by perhaps one more day.

I just don't think they are all that serious about apologizing! :confused:

I took them up on their offer. None of my radio shack and best buys will have them til sometime next week and saved $20 on top of the $13 for the free 2 day shipping. I'm not gonna get it cheaper and faster anywhere else.

Your reasoning sounds fine, but RS may not ship until the middle of the week and you would not receive it until the end of the week.

I'm counting on Best Buy having sufficient inventory for its June 10 release date. That would just be 2-3 days after you receive the RS phone.

I'm also counting on BB having one of their 10% off coupons for next weekend, making it an even better deal than what RS is currently offering.
