Nope i've actually been waiting for the email, just sitting on the couch and the postie chapped the door with my new toy, so far i'm over the moon with it, screen looks fantastic, got a bit of weight to it which i like rather than it feel light and plastic..and the pictures it takes are amazing...i've upgraded from the Desire HD and so far it outshines it
 
Amazon.co.uk is now saying 19th March. I hope this isn't the case with other UK suppliers, such as: Clove, Handtec, Mobilefun Carphone etc.

wow well what a nice surprise im also using a desire hd right now

do you remember what date you ordered it
 
i ordered mine 24th but then it was an upgrade so might be different to new orders he dd say would get it by 13th though
 
if i have to wait another week,for this, im cancelling and getting the one x. Sony's doing themselves no favours by putting the release date back.
 
Are they putting the date back? Some people have got them now, so there are lots of other possible reasons.

Mind you, if you that willing to give up for the sake of a week then perhaps you didn't really want it anyway!
 
It would be a shame if you cancelled Bay, I know that the size of the XS is pretty much the limit of comfortable hand holding for me, the One X would be too big and I'd have to use 2 hands, hopefully manufacturers will realise this, I don't want to carrying a phablet around with me in a couple of years time.
 
Just picked mine up from phones4u, initial impressios are very good. Camerais amazing,especially coming from the Nexus.
Also the brightest is too bright had turn it down!

How would you compare the display to the Galaxy S2? How are you finding the capacitive buttons?
 
Screen is fantastic! Really couldn't ask for any better! Colours and sharpness are spot on.
Capacitive buttons are an irritation, especially when there is no light as it is a bit hit and hope but I think that it is just a learning curve.
 
my phone came into the US here in Texas.
Since it is an unlocked phone, my Verizon 4G carrier might not be compatible with this phone. I've talked with a Verizon rep, and he says its not possible to put a 4G micro sim into the Xperia S.

I've cut up my old 4G LTE sim card and test fit it into the Xperia, and it won't recognize the sim

help please
 
Well I have decided, I will cancel my order with Clove tommorrow morning and then go straight to phones4u to buy it sim-free and save myself
 
Earlier today I cancelled my order with Clove and purchased it sim-free from phones4u.

Will report back later tonight with my initial thoughts on the XS.
