Get your wallets out, folks! At 3 PM today, Moto Maker goes live with pre-orders for the Moto X Pure - for a retail release date of September 13th. 11 days to go and we'll have new phones IN HAND!

While I 'm minorly disappointed in having to wait another 11 days, we all kinda knew that the 3rd was a rumor and maybe I hinged too much hope on it. But the 13th is supposedly the real deal. I'll be at the laptop at 3 ET!

Chief! Thanks so much for keeping us updated on the release of this phone. Like you, I've followed along since coming from my Note 3 and haven't been able to find a more reliable source. Looking forward to 3pm!
 
I *could* do the Moto credit and have it sent asap but really should wait. I mean, I just don't want to spend the money right this second. But. It's in my cart! haha. Le sigh.

I finally got to play with the moto maker but I didn't place my order just yet. I can't decide whether I need the 64gb one or if the 32gb will suffice. I haven't used but about half of my Note3's space so far so I am thinking the 32 but then I also hope to keep it longer than 2 years. Any useful feedback is welcome. Razzing is not :)
 
I'll probably hold out and pick one up as soon as they hit Best Buy, the question is, when will they be in stock at Best Buy??
 
So are people getting the 16GB version and just using a micro SD card to expand? I was thinking about getting a 128GB card and just the 16GB phone to keep the costs lower. Any reason why that is a bad idea?
 
Also, lets hear about how you guys customized your phone....colors, back, trim, if you did any engraving and greetings. I'm interested in hearing how people are customizing.

I have a 32 gb phone now and more than half is used. I do not have lots of apps.
 
I got a 64GB, walnut back, black front, dark chrome accent. Darling Bride got 32GB, red leather back, black front, and dark chrome accent. I finally got Moto to cooperate long enough to complete the order! Sadly, it's already back-ordered to the 24th of September... but my Note 4 can hang in there 3 more weeks.

STOKED! :D

Yeah, I am thinking I may just get the 64GB. I just wasn't sure if there would be a reason why 16GB and a micro SD wouldn't work.

Bummer about the back-order. I actually may have to wait to order then. I will be leaving town on the 24th for at least a week, up to two weeks. I may have to wait until I get back or not customize and get it from BB when they have it.
