Pre-orders: When is your estimated delivery date?

Just curious for those that have pre-ordered... when is your estimated delivery date, and when did you place your order?

My delivery date is Nov 17th and I ordered on Oct 2nd.

Ordered 9/28 - Expected 11/17. Two-day shipping. Still haven't gotten a ship notice. With the early ship announcement I'm hopeful I'll get it on 11/16, but given that I haven't gotten "the email" yet and it's almost 4pm local, I'm starting to get a little worried...

If this release goes anything like some of the older Kindle releases the order times are going to get crazy long. We ordered my wife’s current Kindle close to release date and it seemed to take forever before they even gave us an estimation. Seems like Amazon might be a bit more on top of this one. Look at that a company that learns from its mistakes.

so my dad pre-ordered a kindle fire on nov. 12th & i still haven't received it in the mail. i've gotten the cases & screen protector, but no tablet yet.!! Has anyone else not received theirs either, or am i just one of the unlucky ones whos tablet got lost in the mail or something. ( i don't understand why i haven't gotten it yet...

That is ridiculous. Call customer service to see when it was shipped. If it got lost or whatever tell them to reimburse you and just got to best buy/target/ or what ever major retailers carry one and buy it there. I got mine on the 15th

I picked up 2 on Saturday, Best Buy said they had a huge stack of them in the back.
