Whenever backing up, restoring or installing, you'll see what looks like a label pointing to your default.

since installing venom I've had a few scary moments. last night I had no access to the phone as the screen refused to turn on for 45 minutes- couldn't even turn it off or access bootloader. I plugged it into my pc at which point it fired up. the phone also hangs quite regularly when opening apps.
just wondering if I did something wrong in the installation/root process or if others have experienced similar??

Bad installations happen.
Personally, I'd do the reinstall with a full wipe and then restore the Titanium Backup.
If your phone locks up, often volume up + power will get it back.

do I need to download viper again or is it just a case of going into the bootloader and flashing from the same zip as before?

Check out "AFV (Android File Verifier)"

Use that, get the md5 checksum on your install zip file.
Go to the Viper download page, it will show you the md5 checksum you're supposed to have.
If they're the same, install.
If different, download again, repeat until md5 values match up.

Got the same md5 checksum value as was in venom site and reflashed from original zip. Running much better now. Thanks
Most excellent.
No one knows why or how a bad flash happens but they just do.
They're actually not the norm at all.
But a real pain in the neck when it happens to you.

Hello all,
Settling in nicely with Viper rom and loving all the tweaks. Just one small issue and wondering if anyone else has come across this. The app icons seem to have become larger on the home screen at some point and im not quite sure when it happened. There is a noticeable difference between the icon size on the quick launch bar on the lock screen and the same icons on the home screen. Ive tried moving to a 5x6 app icon format but that creates a different set of problems.
Any ideas?

Don't suppose anyone knows of a decent forum for secure settings app. I'm using it with tasker and am having issues with permissions...??
