Preorder Bestbuy

That's when they're SUPPOSED to charge by their agreements with the CC companies.

A number of years ago I had one clown charge me for an order and then never send anything, so I wrote a nice little letter to the bank along with receipt copies, etc. and had a refund by next billing cycle. Handy to let the bank/VISA's lawyers go ape on them and cheaper...
Rather than edit, I also seem to recall that debit card even IF marked as VISA/MC/etc. most banks will do a hold on the total as it's not really a CC but a debit card... i.e. why they do it, and even though it acts like a cc it's not, so why they can do it...

Found out today that BB had a "credit hold" on my BB card for the phone on pre-order.

Took an hour on the phone at a BB Mobile store for BB to cancel the pre-order, then they put me on hold, called the credit department on the BB card and released the credit hold.

How nice of them. *smirk*

Point is, they didn't charge my card, just put a hold on the funds..... And I have the phone. *gigitty*

That's a little steeper price than I was hoping for. But... I still might go for it when better reviews come out.

I agree. Let others here suffer and deal with a over hyped cell phone and learn about the issues and problems first, before thee and thou. Perhaps wait until VM drops the price to 129.95. I have always believed that the best moves involve sacrificing the occasional pawn. Smiley.

We still do not know what Cricket has up its sleeve; they amazed the planet with the Sanyo Zio. Many were surprised that a high(er) end phone would be offered by Cricket as a no-contract offering. So perhaps a Triumph Killer awaits us.

Cricket should offer a better than Triumph phone, and drop its monthly unlimited plan and go after VM.
