I wanted to know since our prevail is so awesome, I wanted to know if we can run our lil Linux phones as a desktop? like I need to root my girl friends phone and don't have a laptop right now to do so... can I install the drivers in some sub-folder and apply the patch right through my prevail...?

Wifi tethering? Maybe you could put the OS from a netbook on SD card. Probably be the only thing small enough. Probably need some kind of virtual drive. Similar setup to setting your PC up

dont think it is possible. how would you connect your girl friends phone to your phone?

:DWhat ever, I will MAKE a cord If I can't find one. We can do these kinda things lets do 'em! I want full access to my lil comp. don't you guys? I am willing to help in any way I can...even if my phone becomes a test subject...lol we can do this we have the technology!!:D:D

No no I think you were on to something with SD cards, I think that if our phones can read the (Ram) on an SD, can we convert that script to read from a USB to USB (micro) Rom?

This one I will not down... I need to root a phone w/o a comp.... I should just be able to install the drivers, somewhere... Mabey we can create a file that mimics a comp.? something has to be workable, I know we can get rid of our desktops.
Ps anyone else know something you can do on desktop and not on Prevail??

what about a file that tricks the phone into thinking that these files are runnable, can anyone see if Odin will read a com port? can we make the drivers work?

you'd have to build a custom cable... then you'd have to get the usb port to run in host mode, that would probably take a driver...
then you'd need whatever odds and ends that are missing from Linux that you would need on the phone
