Donald Trump faces new test: Will people vote for a loser?

Donald Trump's whole campaign has been based on winning. But after a major setback in Iowa, he's now going to have to cope with being seen as a loser — at least for now.

Trump's disappointing second-place finish in the key early-voting state on Monday night, barely ahead of Marco Rubio, comes after recent polls showed him ahead of Ted Cruz. He's now facing huge pressure to hold onto his lead in New Hampshire, where recent polls have him with three times the support of any of his competitors.​
 
Ben Carson is heading home to Florida to do laundry

Speculation abounded Monday night that GOP presidential hopeful Ben Carson might drop out of the race, after news broke that Carson was not sticking around in Iowa to wait out caucus results, nor heading directly to New Hampshire or South Carolina for the next primaries on the calendar.

But Carson said he is remaining in the race, and that he was simply heading to his home in Florida to "get a fresh set of clothes."​

The business mogul’s stinging loss in the Iowa caucuses on Monday robbed him of his sense of momentum. While he continues to lead polls of Granite State Republicans by a large margin, as he has for months, doubts are deepening about whether he can translate that advantage into actual votes.

Trump will also be facing a buoyant Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.), who outperformed expectations in Iowa with a strong third-place finish. Rubio will be hoping that New Hampshire’s centrist voters rally around him rather than dividing their allegiances among several candidates cut from similar cloth, including Ohio Gov. John Kasich, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.​

Rubio is my number 2 guy. I'll certainly take him over the big government lefty RINO that is Donald Trump.
 
I think, between the volatility of Trump's mouth and the brazenly conservative mantra of Cruz, Rubio turns out to be more electable, more capable of attracting the swing votes. And as I said, I'll take any of them, as long as he wins in November.
 
Rubio is looking to be a more favorable choice even if a bit inexperienced but Trump may still be a better Idiot in Chief than Cruz. The Idiot part is a reference to our current dilemma.. [emoji41]
