Prl 3024

My phone updated itself to 3024 a few days ago but nothing seemed to work right under 3G. I couldn't browse, voice -to -txt wouldn't connect, speed test wouldn't connect. So today I called *228 and it "updated" itself back to 3019 and no more 3G. What's that all about? :-(

I had 3023 and did that and I was moved back to 3019. When I talked to a MPCS rep he said "Do not ever *228 if you already have something better, it could roll back, because Metro will push to a new prl and the prl at *228 may not up to date." His words not mine.

I've noticed that 3023 and 3024, speedtest won't connect and somethings don't work correctly. I just set it back to 3022.

I took this test in Detroit and I had 1 bar during most of the test. PRL 3024 has better 3g reception for me.

I did same thing in past and was also pushed back to 3019:confused: (learn the hard way) but then updated to 3023.

Now have 3024 - n so far 3g's been working pretty good (Florida) tho I use my wifi more often. ~~Glad to see someone is uploading it. :)

so, the answer that escapes me is how do we get the phone (now that we *228'd back to 3019) to update itself back to 3024 which it seemingly did automagically by itself without manually doing it?

I dont think you can, have to manually do it, its not hard

In Miami my wife M835 got 3023 automatically. I had 3023 installed on my Optimus via LGPSNT, called *228 and went back to 3019, reinstalled 3024 via LGPSNT again. Metro is pushing the 3023 OTA automatically but if you dial *.228 will go back to 3019 at least in our OM.

Ok, so I installed the prl 3024 and few days after that I finally got 3G in Queens, NY. However, it keeps switching between x1 and 3G, is there any way I can make it stay on 3G? I can't keep it even long enough just to make a speed test.

I'm getting the same thing. I'd say wait until 3025, that would probably make things more stable.

Edit I Forgot to add get LTE on off from the market and switch to evdo only.

My phone crushed (if you can call it that) it would not boot, stock in animation display so I was forced to flash it with 3017. I live in Detroit. What are the difference between 3017 and 3024 ? I know that 3024 gives you the ability to use full 3G, but what else is there that 3017 doesn't have?
