PRL, Profile, and Radio update needed?

What are these and do these need to be updated. Running aosp 9.9.2

PRL stands for Preferred Roaming List, it is not required but could to have updated, Radio is important if you want the best radio signal, and profile is also important if you are having issues communicating with your phone, with that also said if your phone is running fine, then I would not worry about it for now, if it ain't broke don't fix it. If for any reason you do want to update PRL, you will need to backup back to a sense Rom, same goes for profile, Radio can be flashed in recovery if you are not already up to date, the latest [Radio] NEW! 2.42.02.10.29 Sprint CDMA Hero

I would keep PRL and profile update, updated Like Don said, if you are running aosp 0.9.9.2, you will need to flash a sense rom to update both.

Radio update can be flashed in recovery

When going back and forth between ROMs I assume you don't wipe or clear anything, right?

If you are restoring a Nandroid that you saved previously, then no. You do not need to wipe.

You do wipe when flashing a brand new ROM from scratch. The preferred method is to wipe everything in that case.

I can only speak of ClockworkMod here

When flashing a new rom, it always recommended to wipe everything, data/factory reset, cache, Dalvik cache. You can also do a complete wipe of partition, which is boot, system, cache and data Do no format sd card


When restoring a nandroid, clockworkmod formats everything before restoring the nandroid so.........there is no need to wipe anything

I would also suggests removing a stock sense ROM of everything not needed to allow the phone to boot faster and save space on your SD Card. It won't be much, but every little space counts
