Root PRL question......

DaRayvn

Android Enthusiast
does anyone know how to go back to a previous PRL version?? i could have swore there was a thread on here at one time expaining how to....but i could be wrong....

Not 100% sure. I would think that it'd be the same way as to go to one of the verizon PRLs floating around in the xda sea.

You have to find a flashable zip of the prl, xda has a thread with all the evo radios and such. I would find it and link it but I don't have the time right now.

I may also make a suggestion when you update, or downgrade your prl you "should" do the same for your nv.
I know you can run different prl and nv versions, it was suggested to me a while back by akazabam to keep both of those the same.

If you do decide to play around with these make sure your battery is charged, and that you have a good nandroid with your Wimax keys.
Also when you flash these you have to reboot in between flashes. You can't flash both the prl and nv in the same recovery session.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES DO YOU PULL THE BATTERY WHILE FLASHING THESE. Be patient when you reboot, it takes a hot minute for the phone to update. This is one of those rare operations that can brick your phone. Be careful! ;)

im glad you told me that lol...thanks

I changed my prl last night... I used the xda method of ##775# you need an msl reader which only works in sense roms. Don't eff up when entering the msl, cuz you only get 3 tries, then your effed. But, you out the .zip file of the prl you want in a folder you can easily find and select it. You'll see what I'm on about when you get to the screen via the ##775# process. Be careful about using VZW prls, sprint booted Mr. Ed for too much data roaming. That being said, I'm on a vzw prl right now lol
When you hit that button combo, it'll ask you for your password, that's your msl. It's a 6 digit code you get from the msl reader app which is available in the market. Happy hacking;)
