Help PRL Update 60677

from the home screen


menu/settings/about phone/software information

scroll down and smoke over the PRL version: if it says 60676 then its outdated. the latest is 60677

so back to the home screen (just to zero things out)

menu/settings/system updates/update prl

So I just updated my PRL. . .and now when I go to update profile it does nothing!! It just sits at a black screen. I also start to to get random black screens while in other apps. Two reboots (one with a battery pull for a few minutes) and nothing new!! WTF. . .the phone is only 2.5 months old and all it's problems are starting to come out!! Maybe I should have stuck to my iPhone!!!!

You already expressed other issues that need repair at a sprint repair center....these issues are not going to magically disappear. Take your phone in and get it fixed up

Whew!! False alarm. My phone shut down and would not restart. It wouldn't even begin to boot. When I plugged it into my computer it said there was a device malfunction.

About 30 minutes later it started working again for no apparent reason.

A PRL is a file that tells your phone the location of cell towers within a region. That's all a PRL does. It's so your phone knows where to look for towers. Towers are constantly going up hence the updates.

Mine says 01115 after update also. What gives?
