Hey Ziggy,
I know you probably already have your heart set on selling your Triumph and switching over to Tmobile's $30/month plan, but here are some details for that plan that they don't want you to know:
1. If you go over your 100 minutes for the month, they automatically move you up to the next highest tier prepaid plan ($50/month) without notifying you. They also will not allow you to switch back to your $30 plan without purchasing a new SIM card. Which means every time you use 100 minutes or more per month, you have to get a new number (or go through the whole process of porting your old number), and wait for a new SIM card in the mail. Oh, plus you won't be refunded your money for the rest of the month. (If you use 101 minutes halfway through the month, you just paid $50 for half a month of service, AND you have to buy a new SIM card (which adds to that), AND AND AND you have to pay for another month before your first month was up. 2. I could be wrong on this one, but I doubt you're going to get any support from Tmobile, should you need customer service. I went into a few Tmobile stores in the past few weeks and asked about the $30/month plan, and I was told "that plan is some weird one with Walmart, so we can't help you." Again, this may just be sales reps being uninformed, but I'd be skeptical.
3. Has Virgin Mobile ever let you down? Personally, I think for the amount I pay per month for service on my Triumph, I have basically kicked VM in the nuts and stolen from them. And I'm on the $35/month plan, not the $25.
4. Before getting a VM smartphone, I always used to carry around a cheap verizon flip phone and my ipod touch. I used my itouch for everything from texting to wifi calling, and let me tell you, wifi calling is not a lot of fun. Maybe you do this now, and maybe it works great for you, but from my experience (a little different, since wifi-only device), VOIP is no walk in the park. Sure, it might be great for a house phone, but the requirement for constant internet access and constantly using your connection to listen for incoming calls eats your battery alive, and I wasn't even trying to use 3g/4g. Call quality usually sucks, there is often a delay in the line, and if you lose your connection for even a minute, you will usually miss a call that you won't always be notified of when you do get your connection back. I know my experience was not exactly what you're proposing (or maybe already do), but I would be VERY reluctant to use VOIP as my main form of communication.
Just some things to think about. I think you've done a lot for the Triumph community, and I think it will be a shame to see you go

Either way, if you do jump ship, you'll have to let us know how your experience with Tmobile is.
EDIT: Yeah, looks like customer service is going to be a shit show (
