Help problem since or before I rooted phone

Appreciate all the help. ATM I going to wait for the official or at least a good stable JB ROM to install. I am glad I now can use Kies and USB is working good and I feel confident rooting unrooting and backing and and restore my phone. :)

OK I finally got time to install the new ROM and so far i like it a lot. The battery life seems improved and I like the added features like the notification tweaks. However I still trying to find out about 2 problems I have with the new setup. This is my first working phone using android so not sure if features are missing or dont work with my OS version.

1. The Boost ID program that was installed with the phone is no longer there and replaced with Sprint ID which does not work. The error message says "Boost Network Not Detected" Any way to fix it as I was using it to swap out different setups eg game, work, ect. As I understand it this is the only way to save different setups to the phone.

2. When first got my phone it was using 4.04 OS. I couldn't combine 2 shortcuts to make a folder. Then I installed the Boost ID and switched to the Boost ID. Then I was able to combine shortcuts to make a new folder. Not sure what the default behavior is but my new setup it does not combine shortcuts either.

I have deleted the Sprint ID from my phone, and when I was on the stock ROM I removed the Boost ID. I never use it. Try clearing data from the sprint id app, and if that fails, maybe need to get a copy of the Boost ID.

You can create a folders then drop apps into them.

Which GA10 did you install?

Tried clearing data didn't work.
This is the file I d/l "GA10_818252_Rooted_Restore.exe"

Anyone have boost mobile id apk? I thought I saved it using Titanium Backup and MyBackup Pro but I could not find the backups.

Unfortunately I don't have it, but I imagine someone else would. you would have had to backup system apps with Titanium Backup to have it, and hopefully backed up to external sdcard.

BTW, did you change your MMSC settings for your MMS messages?

No Do I need to and how is it done?

Well after checking my phone I found backups from My Backup Pro, ROM Manager and I had done 3 Nandroid backups. However using Titanium Backup it seems as it did the backups I made to the phones built in drive which I believe was erased as part of the new ROMs install. Nothing worse than backing up and finding out you deleted before you could us it :(

On the bright side I know how to now properly backup the new setup and how to install new ROMS.

JB MMS fix:

Go into the ##3282# menu from the dialer choose edit and enter your MSL
then choose others and make the setting to these:
mmsc url= http://mm.myboostmobile.com
mmsc proxy = 68.28.31.1
mmsc proxy port = 80 (it should already be set to 80 but in case)

Where do I get my MSL number?

Easiest way is to call boost and ask for it
Here's a direct customer service number
