Root problem while rooting with revolutionary

Thanks for all the help guys i really appreciate it. my brother just introduced me to honeycomb and that thing looks freakin awesome yes im getting that as we speak =D

honeycomb? mew. we have ics (ice cream sandwhich) now plus honeycomb is for tablets anyways.

hey guys im back! well turns out im having problems downloading and sending text images and not sure how to fix it. i reflashed the honeycomb and it still has the same problems.

what rom are you on? and what recovery do you have? also what did you wipe when you flashed the rom?

gingerbread, recovery i believe is clock work, wiped factory, dalvick and cache.

ok first off i would switch recoveries to amon ra. clockwork mod just does not wipe very well. you can get the directions on how to switch from the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...ooting-dummies-guide-gingerbread-edition.html. the guide also has directions on how to flash a rom as well.

if anything i would triple wipe and then flash the rom. also what rom are you trying to flash?

MikG is a gingerbread ROM.

Honeycomb ROMS dont play nicely with most phones because HC was only meant for tablets and is missing many components that makes for a working phone (calling,text messaging, ect)

yep mikg is gingerbread and not honeycomb. but i would use the latest mikg ;MikG v3.0 [12/17/2011].

make sure that when you flash the rom to wipe at least dalvik cache, cache, and data before flashing it. i would also use vr superwipe as well. please read the guide for flashing instructions and where to get the superwipe file.

problem solved. i changed my recovery to amon, did the superwipe i stayed with mikg2.61 because the honeycomb theme wouldnt work with the mikg3.0. but thanks again im starting to get more a hang of flashing roms.
