Help Problem with Home Screen....

Newbie
I've had my Dinc2 for a few months now with nary a problem. Today I have a problem. My Home Screen button is no longer taking me back to my Home Screen. For an example, I thumb over to the right two screens and then press my Home Screen button. The screen will blink but will not go back to the Home Screen. It behaves this way no matter what screen is currently showing. I have not done any system updates recently and am currently running v2.3.4 with Sense v2.1.

Any help on how to restore my Home Screen button would be greatly appreciated.

Whadda think causes that...

Have you recently installed a launcher or home replacement app like go launcher or launcher pro?

Go into menu> settings> applications> manage applications> all find hTC sense and make sure that it is set as to launch as default. It should show that you have selected to launch this application as default for some actions & the clear defaults button should be available to press, but don't press it.
This means it is set to launch as default, that's what you want, if not there will be a checkbox for you to check then set it as default.
If that don't work then try holding down the power button while the phone is on and selecting restart phone. If that still didn't do it, try a battery pull and leave it out for like 2 mins put it back in reboot.
If the problem is that stubborn and it is still happening, then step 4 your final option, I will allow TAR to advise you that you need to do a factory reset.

Goodnight folks.

No, for real, steps one through 3 up to the battery pull should do it for you. You do not have to factory reset your phone.

Thanks for the quick response G.Adams22. A long power button press and then a reset did the trick. You are correct, I did download but not install a menu locker app (Lockmenu) a while back. Somehow it became the default.

Thanks very much for the help.
