So, I just joined this forum after searching on Google to no avail...
I recently got a Samsung Galaxy Xcover. For the most part, getting used to it has been a breeze, but there's one thing I can't figure out. When I select a picture for my lockscreen, the phone insists on messing with the aspect ratio of said picture. Even if the picture has the perfect aspect ratio for the screen, when the lockscreen is displayed, it just doesn't look right.
It appears to have something to do with the little horizontal bar at the very top of the screen (where battery reserve etc. are displayed). Rather than cropping the lockscreen image, the phone squeezes the image vertically to make room for both it and the bar, meaning that the image looks all distorted. I have tried countering this by stretching pictures on the computer before transferring them to the phone so that, when squeezed vertically, they look right. But since I don't know the exact height (in pixels) of the bar, this process basically amounts to pure guesswork. And besides, there just has to be a less tedious way of getting images to display properly.
I know this is not a major problem, but it still bothers me. Thanks in advance for helping me out.
